Nope, says final. 18/19 july, and that makes perfect sense actually. Fits the timeframe to racecamp in early august.

My guess for the live event(s) is... the live event will be held at the speedcafe on the gold coast on the 17th of july. If you want to come, you make your own way there and back, as well as accom during the events.

tickets to Gold coast are cheap though(Cost me $110 return) so it shouldn't be too hard to get to though, they, will probably make you pay to get into Movie world to contest though.

I wasn't expecting this. Too bad I bought a dreamworld pass this year and not the movie world one.

if you qualified for the Final i would assume it will be paid for by Nissan.

If i was able to compete this year i would probably drive up and bring any sydneysiders that wanted to compete as well.

I live around 150k south of movie world, so I'll be aiming to come up to movie world during the live events, just to get accommodated to the rigs again. And as long as they don't 'ban' already qualified finalists (which wouldn't make sense, as many live event ppl will get the opportunity to get use to the rigs pre final) then I should be good to go.

I'm also not sure if I will qualify for accom being so local. In which case I will probably just car it up and back, with a bit of practice in between.

The $99 pass 'offer' expires end of June... It gets you entry to all 3 parks for a year and a bit.

Also, if you have 4 guys going, you can do a buy 3, get 1 free deal (effectively 75 each).

Finally some details So who's going to the live event? My family lives up on the GC, so the location is the next best place after Sydney for me. Might take the family up and make a holiday of it and catch up with friends/family.

@joshmuggo do you know if we are allowed to go to the live qualifying on multiple days? or just 1 try?

Im in for the 3 for 4 deal, if there is 2 others keen.

I'll take reserve place, as indicated on gtp forums. i.e. If we get 3, 7, or 11 ppl, i'll take last pos to get it down to 75 for the others.

Actually with the entertainment card you can get it for $75. No need to buy multiple tickets.
