if there is no qualifier (as i understand it) how will the % improvement be determined

It is a set percentage that has been calculated from the previous results over 9 runnings of the event. It is an average that everyone seems to improve. For the most part it works.

Ok. Official decision. Bob's clear pace advantage over the rest of Div 2 is from what I can remember the biggest margin in ROC history. There has been advantage before, but not on this scale.
Therefore, in the interest of keeping the race as fair and achievable for everyone, bob and his time will be added to the Div 1b handicap. Meaning he will keep his spot on the grid but not leave the line until the 1b handicap passes.

Oh ROC is on. That is what all the fuss is about. Is it this Sunday? If I can be there, I don't mind what Bob's handicap is. He drove like a champ for the whole season. He was not perfect but he wasn't far from it. Maybe if some of us Div 2 guys had got our act together better we might have put him under some pressure. And maybe the bulk of this discussion thread would be about the race, not the entrants. So, what ever the handicaps, or the outcome, I hope everyone performs at their best and enjoys the race....oh and I hope I can sort myself out to be at the starting line...

I will try to have the room open by 8:00 for a bit of practice before the track is cleared at around 8:20 for the tribute lap of Bruces two Iconic cars. His green ROC winning BRZ, and the car he last drove and won in mind you, the McLaren F1 GTR.
The cars will lap the ciircuit and form up in grid boxes 1 and 2 and then we will have a minutes silence to remember a Rooz legend taken well before his time.
All that remains is to set the grid, confirm handicaps and GO GO GO.

If anyone is unsure as to how the handicaps work, then please, say so now.

Oh yeah, forgot to ask how the handicaps are applied. I am pretty sure it'll be off the start using total time but figured I'd ask for the official definition.
