if it is a series, why not have a point to point tarmac track? or are they time trial only? (could still be like a true rally series if they are all point to point time trial...)

yeah, i'll second that. point to point tracks are sooo addictive when you get a good one. i think the only way it works is to run multiple times singularly during a timed period to get the fastest time, (say 450pp on ss while tweaking your tune) then move up a class and start again. having said that, i also love dirt and snow tracks, i find the little datsun and lancer classics a lot of fun so pm me if you get this up

So will the room be set up as "Time Trial"? I've never done something like this in GT6, so I'm interested. :)

Hey lads! Sorry i've been in rooz hibernation during a hectic december! finally back for Jan! And got a laptop now haha!

Looking at getting this thing up and running maybe as soon as mid next week.

It may be a timetrial, i'll go back and get Arakasi-'s message he sent to me and get your opinions on if it is a good way to have it run! :)

This is what @arakasi- suggested, who thinks this sounds good? May chuck up a new thread with a poll if needed, chuck in suggestions please :)
"g'day mate, just got a few suggestions for ya about the Rally event.
you don't have to use them, whatever you settle on i'll be running in it anyway.
i prefer the 'classics' more than WRC , they can even run together if ya want.
I;ve found WRC at 520PP levels them out good, and they need a bit punch than stock to feel good.
Stage 3 engine tune , no extra turbo, just engine, and turn the power down a litte bit, on all 4.

520PP classics, seems to level out about 13 cars. different people are a bit faster in different cars, depending on which
suits your style. all seem pretty even. could have different terrain, dirt / snow, each night to help level it out.
    - impreza '99 , '01, '03
    - lancer Evo vi '99 , Evo iv '97
    -delta int. ,92
    - corolla '98
    - escort '98
    - celica 95 st184 , st205
    -hyundai accent '01
    - focus '99
no nitrous, full tuning with damage, even heavy damage.
could probably go a bit higher on PP, but then you will probably loose a couple.

was thinking you could do 3/4/5 'stages' with points for each, then points on overall fastest total time for the night/rally. ??
Was also thinking, you choose one car for the night / rally , not change each stage. but can switch for next night / rally. ??

personally, i prefer the tracks in reverse, don't know why , just do. And the classics.
whatever you choose to do, will be fun no matter what."

I am at the moment thinking of going with his full tuning on those classics he suggested.
Do 3 stages per night for 4 nights, maybe have some circuit nights on dirt, snow etc and some tarmac TT nights?

I'll ive everyone 2 days to chuck in suggestions and i'll make a new thread up with the proper outline of the series and what it will be and a poll for either the style to go with (modern or those select classics) (I am happy to work on bop, as this month i have plenty of free time unlike december)
or which day to go on :)

I like a bit of dirt action but its really, really hard to race behind people in GT6 on dirt, the dust is just too thick. You have to know the track inside out and upside down to have a chance....hard enough on standard tracks and probably near impossible if you go with made up tracks. time trials would be good but I have no idea how difficult it would be to manage.

Maybe the dust can be turned down somehow??
