Will track grip be set to real or low for this event? I am doing some practice laps but wasn't sure for which setting so set it to real?
This event really reminds me of those 1 lap old vs new driving missions in GT4. Div 1 drivers may have bad memories of the Mercedes Benz event on Sunday night!
Ok Sik is officially not eligible to compete due to not confirming his entry. Now in the interest of a fair race, I am going to give entries to both Darko from div 5 and Capa from Div 6. This does give their divisions a slight advantage as is changes the handicaps slightly. Every other division benefits from having theirs lap times averaged. But not 5 + 6. With the others included the handicaps now are... Div 6 0 Div 5 +41 Div 4 +21 Div 3 +36 Div 2 +51 Div 1 +74 So every division not affected by having extra drivers has 7 secs added to their handicaps Div 5 only goes up by 5 secs. (relative benefit) Div 6 gets an extra 7 sec buffer. Any objections???????
So, why do div 5 wait for 41sec and div 3 only 21? Am I reading this wrong? Fudge me, 74 sec's over 21 laps, hope Warrior is in a fast mood. Bring it on!!
Down to Tovey and to a lesser extent Darko probably being placed in the wrong Div. Div 3's times drop with the avg adding 3vils lap time which was a second slower than his Divisional brothers. Div 3 FL avg = 1:27.013 Div 5 FL avg = 1:26.779
From what I've heard, its adds bandwith to the server to cope with it. No idea if this is true and if it works or not????
I've heard the same thing TB, though it probably comes down to how PD go about streaming the audio - I don't imagine it would require much bandwidth (possibly 100 kbps or less). IMO, I don't think extra bandwidth will help with lag issues. This seems to be the result of bad connections and/or incompatibility issues with the PSN/GT6 servers....likely to be related to latency/ping problems (which extra bandwidth cannot fix). Some people here have available bandwidth that is 3-4 (or more) times what I have, yet suffer from lag and drop-outs disproportionately more than me. If bandwidth was a big factor, I should be the one experiencing all the issues - but I don't. It would be nice if GT6 could give us info about our connections (or run an online test), to show stats that may give some indication as to what is causing the issue for individuals suffering lag, drop-outs etc....instead of just telling us where NAT 1, 2 or 3.
Hey guys, Darko has politely declined the invitation, and i'm still waiting to hear from Capa. So Handicaps are still unofficial at this stage.
