Glad to see leeboy will host because his speed is no doubt faster than mine. He's got fibre optic, which is dramatically better than cable (I hope you weren't confused in regards to that, Stu). Mine does 35Mbps D/L and 4Mbps U/L. Secondly, I'm confirmed for the season, but I can't come this Sunday as I'm going to a university event because it'll be the last day of break. Very keen for this season though as I reckon I have the new car down pat already. I never got used to the huge downforce from that BRZ... In other news, I finally got round to changing the T500 pedals from F1 to GT mode and putting the Brake mod on, lol. Feels so good. Oh and something else too! I loaded up 'V8 Supercars: Australia 2' on the Playstation2 and by God, that game holds up so freakin' well... Back in the day, I never had a wheel, so I used the Pro-Simulation settings on the game for the first time ever yesterday, and it's a dream. I agree with the quote on the front box that says it is 'the holy grail of motorsport games'. It truly was.
Wow everyones got all this high technology racing sims and then theres me stuck in div 5 with just a controller
What kind of times is everyone setting a Fuji? I've had no practice being offline and want to at least be in the ballpark!
Not everyone lol I'm a controller user too I'm curious, is there anyone else in Div. 1 or 2 who use controllers?
Sorry guys I haven't been able to get onto the ps3 over the past few days. I'll be going on fairly soon so I'll send out a friend request to leeboy. Looking forward to joining you all tonight
"How many assholes we got on this ship anyhow?" "Yo!" "I knew it! I'm surrounded by assholes!" "Keep firing assholes!" "I see your schwartz is as big as mine" "Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made!"
You'll get used to it mate. It is a HUGE change from the terrific BRZ, rack up more KM's in the car and you'll match your style to the car eventually.
Sorry couldn't make it tonight guys. Didn't get in till late and there was no way I was getting online unless I wanted a divorce after being away all weekend. As for the car, it is a bit of a beast, a lot different from the BRZ which was on rails even on full throttle. The macca needs a lot more finesse, and based on my level of talent, you will be fine !!
Lol it is just constant understeer, the final sector at Fuji I could get a 2CV faster through there than it.
Lol, takes a bit of getting used to, mid corner on the throttle doesn't happen the way the BRZ did !!
