How do you guys find the Merc on those Racing Hards?

Did any of you guys try it with the Sports Softs as well? would be curious to see some comparisment.
I might run a few laps on the hards and see how it is, I wonder if its still as squirlly and in a constant state of trying to kill you. :lol:

yeah i liked the macca on ss i wanted to race on them but got stuck with the rh. i found it more fun cuz u had to be easier with the throttle and with all the wheel spin made it feel like u were driving a beast.

ooh new site, nice work. Just a note if anyone sees this before the race, I tend to brake earlier than most at this track. Sort of brake, roll, brake, turn. So if your behind me be aware of it and take a different line

Did manage to hit a 23.9 once but I dont think it will happen again, will be in early for the practice session I need it.

Not really comftable with my term, im as amatuer as they get. lol

well that was fun wasnt it. cant beleive i got a 22.9 in qually first race was boring. second race was fun and hard and frustrating. its so hard to pass around here and i take such a different line to most people so when i turn in to the corner there was a car there half the time really stoped me from pushing through the pack.bonuss seemed a little upset at me dont know why we had a few bumps nothing heavy tho so i dont know. i was getting bumped all over the place but thats expected on a reverse race on a tight track sourounded by walls. i had a good battle with anon till he broke to deep into the last corner. overall i think it was a good race i dont mind a bit of door rubbing as long as u dont ruin someones race so it was pretty fun for me. bad luck stuart on hiting the wall on the last lap and letting me past

Friggen hell I just typed heaps of stuff and acidently presses escape and it deleted my whole post before I posted it. Sorry cant re do now have to be tommorow.

I managed to jag fastest lap though, I ve watched both replays and have times. I got a 23.609 M1k1-D 2nd fastest with 23.771

No firewind, my comment was just a reply to your "gave me a heart attack comment" when i glitched through you on the straight. Something happed on the start straight, your car went transparent as i breaked behind you then i jumped through you and yours jumped back through as we went through the chicane, glad it didn't cause any damage, defiantly a heart stopper fro us both. I had a couple of heart flutters my self, once mid way through the first bend when your little tap as i was putting the power on started me back end to break out, heart fluttered as i caught it. Then that overtake i did on flood taking the tight line into the bend before the back straight. I got passed and managed to keep to my side of the track but on exit flood came across a little and I got a tap as I powered and same thing back wanted to break out, powered off and then you then gave the same tap as I put power down again and yes it wanted to break out again, double heart flutter as i managed to hold it. Wasn't expecting that pass to work too good knowing the line you 2 where taking would mean it would be hard for you not to come wide on me on the exit there. All good, its the nature of a reverse grid no one wants to back off in the slightest and wants to make it up the grid as far as you can cos so much on the line with the way the points system is. Maybe should do whats been done in the reel world with reverse races, half points or abandon them all together.

Miki don't worry about that little get together, i think i was having some connection issues cos that spot seemed to be a problem for me with goasting on a few occasions.

All in all it was what i expected from this race, probably went better than i thought it would be, not too much carnage at the kink chicane. I did a 123.9 in practice, that was about the highlight of my night. I could only manage a 124.4 in qualifying and had a few ordinary first few laps of both races with me giving a couple break bumps, just wanted to keep it clean and finish in the end so i backed of a little.

I redressed after that and also let Anon and Venosuala thru while waiting for you. That was the hardest i've ever raced and to be honest I think I was too aggressive in spots. I bumped a few and to those, i'm sorry. (insert humble smilie here).

I only see 11 cars on my replay, I think Im missing Nos gate......did he end up racing?? Cause he was connecting and disconecting alot during qual. If he was in there but didnt show on my screen it will change the order of those that finished below him.....anyway According to my replay these are the results.

I had a great start to race 1, I jumped from 5th to 3rd before the chicane. Veno got stuck on the inside of the chicane and I just made it around, its caused abit of a back log but I think we all got through. I managed to come out 2nd, firewind was up front with a nice lead already. I held 2nd for awhile before a mistake saw me drop back to 5th, had a pretty good battle with bonus for a while trading positions and we were catching Anon and veno.

It all turned to crap at the end of lap 10 for me, coming onto the front straight I got a little lose then over corrected and my front end got sucked into the wall...bloody magnet walls. So I was stuck sideways right on the tight bit of the straight, I couldnt even work out which way was the right way to go.........by the time I did I dropped back to dead last with only 2 laps left. Something happened to Stumbles the last lap and I was able to get passed, couldnt get passed darko though and settled for 10th (well on my screen I was 10th)

Started 2nd for this race and again had a great start almost getting side by side with stumbles before the chicane, I backed out and slotted in behind. I dont know if stumbles was watching me but he out braked himself and went straight into the chicane, I made it cleany around and took the lead with Dutch in tow. Dutch and I had a decent gap back to 3rd due to everyone shuffling and trying to move up.

I had about a 1-2 sec lead over dutch when i got the chicane slightly wrong, I made it through but without much speed and dutch got on my tail on the exit and he may of had to take some evasive action to dodge me too (sorry bud) We both set of again and I was just able to hold 1st.

From here I put my head down and didnt look back, by lap 6 I had busted out my best lap all night and had got the gap back to Dutch to around 5 seconds. From here I was able to cruise and just time manage to the checked flag. Was pretty happy to get a win after the 1st race........Could of spinning out been a blessing in disguise?

I think darko got abit roughed the 2nd race and probably wasnt to happy about it.

I need to double check this as it can get confusing, personally I feel a little quilty for snagging second over all. Maybe next season an average could be used... IE for me it would be 10th + 1st then divide by 2 so....(10+1=11 divide by 2) my average finishing position equal 5.5 oh hang on.....Shouldnt my average be 5 anyway something to think about Using my idea I think I would of finished 4th or 5th overall.

I think one of these references is about me, but i'd like to defend myself that Darko bounced off the wall into me while I was lining up to pass on the inside. If any one could review a replay that would be good. To satisfy my conscience. It would also be difficult to redress when the other person is parked. What are the rules regarding this?

I'm surprised and a little happy I got away with an overall 4th place at this round, as I was well off the pace, and at the time there was about a million other things I'd rather be doing. Just wasn't in the mood to race last night.

Strangely I like the layout of the track, it feels like a real street circuit and there's some nice corners. Unfortunately, the line I like to drive was far from the fastest. I know where and how I could have been faster, but taking those lines just doesn't feel right, so I didn't
And in the end, unless you're leading, it makes little difference in the race. I found that even if you got a good run on someone out of a corner, the braking zones are so tight that its very difficult to make a move, so my slower line didn't hurt me too much.
I think I was reasonably clean and didn't do too much bumping. I did see what I thought were some fairly amateur moves this round though.

Race 1
Nothing much to mention here I don't think. Just picked off some places as people ahead made mistakes. Got squeezed into the wall a couple of times in a disappearing gap into turn 1 by Anon; no harm done. 6th place.

Race 2
Once again, tried to keep my nose clean and pick up a few spots. Had some unavoidable contact with Stu as he hit a wall and almost stopped dead in front of me lol. 3rd place.

I didn't think there was much in any contact we had. I vaugely remember the incident you referred to but didn't think it was as big as you made it sound. Sorry if I put you off there. I think the narrow field of view sometimes comes into play too, and just not knowing where the other car is.

You say your tires were nearly gone; how far gone? I still had over half left.
So if my tires were substantially better than yours then obviously i'm going to be quicker through the corners. If thats the case, my only tip would be work on driving smoother and easier on the tires.
