Thanks Stumbles, wiki all done now.

7 tenths separating the top 12 fastest laps, and the race winner 11th quickest. That's a close race!

Sorry Flood, that was a playful "we are on the finishline and I can't ruin your championship nudge". I was more than happy to come second. My only goal for the race was to be ahead of Stuart so I could achieve my goal of 6th on the championship. 2nd was just a huge bonus. Good race, good season. Great fun.

@ flood i thort we had a briliant race then u go say that. **********. im not racing anymore anyway so u dont have to put up with my driving . i was thinking of coming back after season 5 but not anymore. a bunch of racers that get all upset if someone rubs paint with them THATS RACING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my performance was poor. *****. u were bumping me all over the place u used me as a rail one time to overtake. i dont care or winge about it like other people do i think its just racing. name me one racing siries in the world where a little rubbing doesnt take place (besides open wheels of corse).

i will stick to my lines dont care what lines u take i try to keep a look out for people but in bumber few its hard to tell when there beside u.

good on ya made my day with that insult. pfftttttt............

to everyone else that didnt have a problam with my driving style i had a great season. enjoyed racing with use all .

    thanks

    c ya later

    Wow. Touchy..

Wasn't just me mate, a number of people weren't impressed with the way you drove or how you carried yourself on track.

Then your after race comments to Tek about how you don't even care that you hit him and how he was on your line... Not a good look.

Absolutely agree I did hit you at one point into the tunnel, but I also hung back and let you keep position. Unlike yourself when you nudged me out of the way into turn 2. Would be interested to see this "rail" incident you speak of.
I also agree that some contact is unavoidable, but thats exactly the point, we try to AVOID contact. You seem to like contact. In which case this probably isn't the place/series for you.

Thanks Miki, that makes me feel so much better after I was ahead of you, then I watched you drive by after I spun onto the straight! As veno said last week, you didn't even stop to check I was ok!!!

Goal for season 5, less mistakes and that elusive podium. Oh and to beat miki and veno!!

Alright guys settle down. Post edited firewind. Unacceptable abusive language.
All concerned, please address this in a mature fashion, and by PM if you have personal gripes to sort out.
If the issue can't be resolved privately between drivers concenred then PM your division captain to moderate. Don't air your dirty laundry on the public forums please.

Just some comments on what i think is racing and my opinion on what rubbing paint is. I haven't looked at the replay so won't comment on this race incident. Rubbing paint in my opinion is when 2 are trying to corner at the same time but both are sticking to the side of the track they decided to take and rub door handles. Tight in wide out is good for when you are by your self but when you see the car behind you is not there any more they are most likely right beside you. I use bonnet view and have the track map close so you can see the triangle behind you and what side of the road its on, I also do a quick flick on the rear view mirror and bumpercam has a permanent mirror so you will now if someone is passing you. Even having that I still some time miss where they have gone and make mistakes but am always trying to keep it clean.
While cornering side by side you must stick to your side of the track as much as possible, you may have to back off a little and use a different line to do it but that is racing and you can't just push the outside car off the track because thats the line you are used too. Not saying thats what happened with you FireWind just your comment on Ill stick to my line no matter what comes across as that. Watch any racing and you will see that they do get penalised for doing that, 3 drivers last v8 round got 25 points off for doing it. Learning different racing lines for a track can help when in the race, you can sneak up on the inside of slow corners if your opponent takes the normal wide line instead of protecting his lead, I did it a few time on the track before last successfully and got passed by it too. In saying that there are corners you just dont pass on knowing the car on the inside won't be able to keep their line and you will be the one to miss out or case them grief. Most here have the race nous to identify these spots in practice before the race, thats the first thing you look for in a track, the possible overtaking opportunities and those that are suicidal.
This season has had very little incidents and most of those were addressed in race. We do have an avenue for disputes so if you do have real gripes let the room host know so they can review the race and take appropriate action. By all mean ask the question here as constructive criticism , thats how we learn and make it a better experience for all.

I did watch the replay last night and it's a shame that the season finished with people pissed off at others.

I watched the last 15 lap battle between fire and flood, and I think that side to side rubbing passes as "racing" but don't think that a pass should be taken after rear ending the car in front.

What bonus says is true as well, if you are in doubt as to whether a car is inside, it's best to hold your line and give them room. It worked for miki and I 3 times last night, at different parts of the track.

That said, I'm just a nuffy at the rear of the field and did get pretty bummed when it happened to me at tokyo.

Well done Firewind for winning the championship.

The Mclaren wasn't an easy beast to tame, especially on the wide variety of tracks we raced on this season.

I wrote an essay on here a couple of nights ago explaining the highs and lows of my final round. Anyway obviously I did something wrong because it didn't appear. Its kind of lucky because one by one I went through the lot of you blokes for your woeful driving (cough cough). Anyway, and in all seriousness, I finished by saying what an enjoyable season I had and that I look forward to the next one...and Stu thank you for your kind words about our dent free battles throughout the season. You were immediately my rival because I was jealous of your orange car. I had no choice to try and avoid contact in my white car. Have seen the way the white marks up?
I vote the Merc SLS AMG gull wing thing for next season. I fell in love with it at the motor show and it also graces the cover of the game. Its a sign that it is meant to be. See hopefully everyone next season. Peace.

lol veno, i liked the orange but i rarely did it justice!! We did have some good battles, spewing that i let you through in race 1, was one of the few chances at a podium...

What is the story with season 5, been very quiet on that front........assumed waiting for the pagnian prize race to finish

The merc would be good to race, FR, diff to the maclaren.....i read somewhere about using a "race" car this season so that would be ok as well. We could have some cool grids if we used the race mod cars as well, or jap touring......we would have to be able to trust everyone to leave them stock though.

Wish they would change the recommended list, that one getting a a bit tired

I was wondering the same thing. At the end of last season there was talk about the new season straight away. I guess everyone is caught up in getting the prize race all sorted out.
I wouldn't mind the Merc, or even something like the ISF. Not real sure about getting a car thats not on the recommended list. But yeh, i wish they'd update it too.. add a few more cars into it.

Yea im looking forward to next season, took me awhile to get used to the Mclaren but liked it too in the end.

I just want to add that I pretty said what I had to say about the race in the lobby. I was pissed at the time over our last corner rub, any other time in the race it wouldnt of bothered me. It was only light bumps but enough to get 2 wheels on the grass so I had to get off the gas and lose momentum when I had the run.

You throughly were the class driver of the field all season firewind and deserved the champ. I'd like to see you back next season div 1 beckons. As i said previous page no hard feelings.

    /cheers
