I didn't meet anyone again... which was strange.
I still didn't see any ROOZ shirt, lol. I thought about grabbing some stickers and chucking them on a cap, lol, but I thought it would look silly.
Shame that the Cameron I talked to was not you
@CTRacing
When I was lining up, I heard someone explicitly say 'T B Williams', but I never found out who said it, LOL.
Anyway first run of the day (5th run in total) I got a 1:11.0 which sorta sucked, but then I got the 1:10.024, which funnily enough was well within qualifying time of today. Thank goodness I also beat my school colleague's time from yesterday (second Michael) by one tenth, as I was getting
for it, lol. Considering that he was in Sydney, so he had at least 3 or 4 more runs than I did on the same track and car combo, I'm most pleased. Also, unless first Michael got into the 1:09s today, that also beats him, which is good, because our first runs ever attempted were a 1:12.9 and a 1:12.7 (me). Finally, I deliberately didn't go for any more runs because of the new number queuing system, and I didn't need to. I really wanted to be the first to get a 1:09, and I would have got it too if I had another run, but I guess proper competitors need more chances, so that's fine. Just an additional reason to be pleased.
As I said to most people who were around, I'm not coming in tomorrow. Just happy that I proved myself, so maybe
@emmo46 won't try and put me in Div2 or Div1B now after this terrible season I had, lol.
Finally, every single person I talked to was so genuine and friendly. It's incredible to see with my own eyes how good the sim racing community is. I know other communities first hand and they're nothing close.
Anyway, I've got a year to train up now... Fun grueling times ahead. Keep me posted here throughout the Nationals!
