Well done.... But seriously without whinging that is really unfair... I really hope they pick the top two from each day... If I had as many turns as some I would be well into the 9s....
Yeah I've said it before, for something that is so valuable it's run really really poorly. For example the 'qualify' time was back to 1.20 yesterday (although I actually did a 16 on my first try finally lol). It remained at 1.20 all day ensuring heaps of people going through to do the real thing. So on Friday the amount of turns was probably as both Saturday / Sunday combined and closer together. But now people have had time to sit and digest it. They also seemed to stop caring if people were watching, so I think the learning curve stepped up a bit too. I dont think they understand how much you can learn from watching.. on a side note anyone who goes to nationals if you are in the first group to go, dont be afraid to speak up when they keep trying to make you go first (like my group did last yr, until the 3rd round after I said something). The fairest setup would this qualifying would have been 2 through each day with a different combo following days.
They closed early today at 3PM and it seemed like there were some last minute improvements. As far as I know these are probably the final overall standings for the Sydney event: Jake (1:09.7) Bob (1:09.8) Keishi (1:10.0) @The_Spectre (1:10.1) Joel (1:10.1) @R0T0R-AU86 (1:10.2)
You almost wonder why they don't just go to www.raceonoz.com if they want to find talent in Australia.
If not mate we can help each other out next year.... well more you help me then i help you... Actually might need your help lol
Bloody awesome guys, green with envy you all got to try the game and then book a spot in the nats! I may fly up to the GC for the final leg, just to see what Nat's are like. Wishing all of the roozers who qualified all the best.
If they end up taking the top 2 from each day then it should be Fri - rotor 10.2 and either warrior or that guy from iracing (I can't remember his name) who both did 10.3s but I'm not sure who was faster out of the two times Sat - Jake 9.8 and keishi 10.0 Sun - Bob 9.8 and me 10.1
Looks like I made the right decision to join. When Hat said "we have the best sim racers in Australia", he wasn't joking. See ya's at Gt Academy 2018, best of luck to those going to the GC
