    Hey all, Race day!

I will have the room open from 7pm AEST. I am guaranteed to be on earlier and practicing if someone has a room open.

So sorry mate. Just couldn't stop quick enough to avoid that second hit. We almost got away.

I too am pretty shattered with my race as I had finally found some pace before qualifying and couldn't back it up in the race. The touch with Johnno made it a long and lonely race with only a solid scrap with Whizz keeping me sane right at the end.

    Roll on next week.

Very happy with that one. PB's for both qually and race were encouraging and kept it clean and tidy throughout. WD Xtr3meNZer and Emmo for rounding out the podium!

What a long night that was haha. Qualifying in 6th, I wasn't sure I was going to be near the top at the end of the race... I witnessed the incident between Chat and Jono right in front of me, an unfortunate 'turn' of events (Sorry @Matthyus I couldn't help the pun...) - I just kept my head down and stuck with my planned stops (16-14-14-13-1). Ended up having a few little scraps along the way due to varying pit strategies, but was always watching the gap between what was generally Cagme, Incey or Emmo.

Kept it clean throughout the race, stuck to my game plan and it worked out. I was pretty much hitting consistent 32.2/32.5's throughout most of the race, only once hitting in that 31.9 mark (Which looking through the fastest laps, I thought more people had hit them after the talk throughout the race?).

Congrats to @UrsineSaturn9 for a very commanding win, and @emmo46 for rounding out the podium.

Coming in 2nd at the end of it all was a great feeling - though I didn't say so much because I was zonked after that... Thanks for the race all! Catch you throughout the week

Hindsight I would have just gone flat out the entire thing and maybe, just maybe cling to the back of @UrsineSaturn9 boot.
My goal this season of improving my overall pace is quickly becoming a fantasy..
I guess I will need to knuckle down and get the next 2 tracks sorted..

Yep, lack of seat time is costing me this season too, with studies taking priority. I was remembering last year there was a time when I was doing really well, tying to figure out why. It was when I was between jobs and had tie on my hands to do things like practice for much longer. Ah well, it's only a game.

Sounds like you've got your priorities right and should hopefully be doing better at your studies rather than sim racing! So long as it is still fun!

Yeah mate studies and such are much more important than sim racing. I'm luck enough to be able to jump on most nights, but that's because I'm a divorcee with not a lot else to do in the evenings lol. I like to jump on, as I often find some others that are playing and it's my way of being social :)

And though I jump on most nights, I'm hardly ever doing the same thing over and over lol. Tuesday nights with Groovers crew, Wed now FIA, Thursday Throwback, Sunday race - and then I try to slot some training for this weeks track in between all that lol.

You do you mate, it's much more important than some points in a game :)

    The Pringle Report....
I'll call it that because I munch on them while doing it. Aka Track limits.
Round 5 Sardegna (final turn only with all 4 wheels out)
2 drivers with a clear slate
    1@ 2, 1@ 3, 1@ 4, 1@ 6, 1@ 7, 1@ 8,
    1@10, 1@ 12, and the most wayward @ 15...!!!
If penalties were incurred the top 6 order would be shuffled.

No. Did a protest red bull round and it was ignored. I'm hoping by putting the info out there that the drivers take a bit of a look at how they go about it....
