Wowee! Looking forward to an awesome season in Div 1! Gonna be a great one i can feel it, lets hope the results are just as good Excited to be racing with you lads, i feel lots of awesome battles on the horizon!
winning div 3 would put you up to div2, most of the div 2 guys are now in 1B. If I put you in Div 2 you would be competing with the same guys you thrashed last season.
I don't remember 'thrashing' the likes of BMW, TB, Grassies and a number of others in any practice rooms last season. Perhaps consolidating 1B and 2 and make a 2A and 2B and leave Div 1 as the premier class for the aliens to play in.??
I didn't say you thrashed BMW, TB and Grassies, they were in Div 2. I meant a can't put you back in practically the same div you were in last season. BMW, TB and Grassies finished in the bottom half of their division and are effectively being relegated back a div to make room for the top guys from the division below them to be promoted.
I just had another look at last season stats and you are selling yourself short. You were right amongst the other guys in this division, I'm not saying you are going to run away with it but you have a good chance in this division if you reproduce the form you showed last season.
Most of us are not really any value to our teams, If you are lucky to be a big fish in a little pond then you will be a gem for your team, the rest of us just make up the numbers and enjoy the racing with a hope we might get a podium every now and then hoping maybe next season we'll be the big fish. I'm trying to match fish size with pond size and I think I have you in the right pond.
c'mon watto... it is not what can you do for your team, but what can your team do for you! I don't think I am going to be fighting up front in div 1 either but I am still going to try, and with my team to help me get faster as well as the community, I have a good chance of having a fun season
Having raced in this division for a few years now, I must say when racing with the best, your skills improve out of sight. Sure, I got my arse kicked by those of the sub human form and tutted at the back of the field for a few seasons. But in each season I got faster and more consistent, and by some stroke of luck with the planets aligning I won a race! Comfort and confidence with the car and tracks will always be the the determining factor of your speed, but when racing with those that are faster can train you to brake later here, put the power down earlier here, take this line through a corner, whatever it may be. That said, I hope all of the Div 1 new comers enjoy it here and improve as many of us have.
Righto, Div 1B it is then. Watch out for the bright red HTO 908 fellas!!! You'll see it in front of you when you're coming up to lap it
Bridesmaid?, more like the bloke who holds the door open at the church. It will be one hell of a learning curve to be competitive this season.
