Telstra aren't all bad. Connected with them 4 months ago and while I have had a couple of enquiries since (1 support issue signing up for bigpond account, 1 billing question where they credited me the full $299 connection fee) they have been solved relatively easily and always with a positive outcome. Plus, speeds aren't too shabby...
I got my power line adaptor and it works go it from msy computers for $59 and its a TP- LINK TL-PA211KIT if that's any help SNAKE
 whoops I think that should be kbps (so 0.78Mbps) UP not DOWN!!! That's a bugger about your re-connection woes there SNAKE. :/ Hehe Anon! Hehe changed that up the other day for a laugh  Glad you like it
I have been stuffing around with my internet and router settings all day. I'm trying to change my NAT type to type 2. Being type 3 probably has something to do with N64 and I never being able to be in the same lobby. I have done everything stumbles said above but im still NAT type 3. Heeeeelllp!! It's doing my head in..
Yeah then there is not much you can do other then buying a N router(you can buy them from Aldi for like 30 bucks) and putting it directly on your playstation so you get a high 90% signal. Wired can still be possible though as you can get massive ethanet cables from electical stores, if you can find a way for it not to be a trip hazard.
Signal strength isnt a problem. It's alway high. It's my NAT type stopping me from connecting with certain people. Yeh, i know i can get a cable long enough. I dont want a cable running through the house though. Looks untidy. Cant really hide it.
I used to have a cable that I would just run out when I was racing online, had a reel to keep it on, and just used wireless the rest of the time.
You can always do PoE , that way you have a solid connection without cable running through the house and no WiFi instability issues.... Worked.ok for me until I ran a cable instead purely for gigabit networking
Please explain? haha. Never heard of it. Will it change my NAT type though? My connection is stable.. Thats not the issue.
