HEEEEELL NO. I'm at tuning too but i still need to tweak it a bit so she feels nice. And the learning process is enjoyable.
Well.... guess im alone by myself on this matter.... On the subject of setups, i recommend before the update finishes to save pictures of your setups for road america. Mine just deleted itself and now i can't get below a 2:09 on my own new setup. Yaaaaaaaay for me Thankfully Fastboy gave me his road america setup... fingers crossed this one goes better
I'm definitely on your viewpoint of things @Beau_Albert I hate tuning as I don't have the time or patience to be running lap after lap fine tweaking things. That and I'm not consistent enough to maximise the effects of tuning. In saying that though, tuning is what this game is all about. The multitude of options and the degrees of effect it all has is just what makes this game what it is... and as much as I'd prefer a non-tuning league such as we do in GT6, this could never work in this game. Therefore, I'll just rely on other peoples tunes and just run with that.
I would be surprised if many of us a venturing to much from the tune offered by the mods. That was something about gt6 league that was annoying because it rules out so many cars and if the stock balance doesn't suit you then your stuffed. I find everyone i ask is helpful and willing to give advice.
Hey guys, I use my own tunes as i didn't enjoy Fastboys (no offence mate, just doesn't suit my driving style.) I'll post my zolder setup i was going to use until my unfortunate disconnect demise when i get home this arvo. Havn't really tested it at Road America yet as I've been flat out this week. I would probably lower the aero a bit for this track. And also tinker the tire pressures to suit. It should still be quite balanced for the track. Give it a try if your struggling for setups.
My setup reduces rear bounce needs to be changed to suit track, it will work well if you ever use that tune on Monza
A little tweek of the tyre pressures this morning has me verging on getting into the 6's once the heat is in the tyres with a full tank... can I do this in traffic ....prob not
Seriously Beau....I don't think you are but I have done maybe 3 hours at R.A. To be where I am at surely you ... a driver of your capability would be all over it
Yes VH 7'021 on lap 3 of a 21 lap race against AI at 95%.... Love my setup still doing low 8;s in the later parts of the 21 laps
Only 3 hours..... I've done 6-10 and still not finding any time.... Cant wait to be in div 3 next season as even div 2 is out of my league. I guess the majority of people weren't pushing the track limits as much as I was last week hence recording the 6th fastest lap.
