Ok guys, we are slowly getting through the set up for the new season, please bare with us....not long now. Emmo has a PROVISIONAL drivers list for each division out the back, i will post them up in the OP of each thread hopefully today or tomorrow once the mod team looks over them. REMEMBER THEY ARE PROVISIONAL AND THERE IS ALWAYS ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON. Either through new drivers qualifying, conflicts between drivers connections etc, etc etc.....if you see someone who is CLEARLY out of position please PM me or one of the mod team and we will have a look at it. Dont make a scene in the thread We are YET TO CONFIRM TUNE - NON TUNE HOWEVER there is a growing belief through testing that the NON TUNE system wont work with the random fuel loads and drivers "could" be stuck with a fuel load that WONT get them to the end of the race as this option wont let you pit. THE UPSIDE of TUNING is that it eliminates this issue, while at the same time opening up a wider range of tracks due to gearbox and suspension adjustments to suit all the tracks. PLEASE BARE WITH US WHILE WE LOOK AT THE OPTIONS. Remember too, we have a patch due soon which "could" throw a spanner in the works just to give us all the s ! Cheers Stu / Mod team
ok guys, provisional grids are up in the OP We have already had a few questions or suggested adjustments so will be looking at this in the next day or two. Room hosts are yet to be confirmed, but room captains have been suggested, if you see your name there but don't want to do it please let me know, as with hosting, if you feel your connection is good enough to do it please put up your hand Please remember that this is all an inexact science, and could all be thrown wide open with new entries and also the patch due to hit in the next week. Just thought I should add that using the quali as a guide to division placement is a bit silly imo. When I took mine I had only just started using a wheel and couldn't race at all. I've improved massively over the past two seasons. Not bothered about being in D3 again as I feel like I'll have a good chance especially considering we'll all be in the same car unlike HTO but I'm not sure about some of the higher division placements.
The quali is used only to place you in a division for your 1st season. The quail is superseded by your performance in terms of both finishing position and lap times come your 2nd season. There are plenty of new entrants this season so there will without a doubt be a few situations where a drivers quail lap isn't a true reflection on where they stand with respect to the rest of the field. The Mods accept that there is no perfect quail format / means of ranking drivers and because of this welcome all feedback on potentially misplaced drivers. So if you feel that there is someone out of position don't hesitate to send either @stucar17 , @Ad2mny or @Clevohead a private message with your concern and they'll happily take your feedback on board. Also do note that the HTO series was a community event and has little bearing on season 2's division placements.
Yep gotcha @COME_AND_GET_ME7 There's been a few strange selections though and I've already slipped @stucar17 a message cheers. Note worried about my own placement tbh. Just not so sure why some others have been moved or not been moved in some cases. To be fair it would make more sense to quali with the right car every season.
If anyone wishes to make themselves NOT AVAILABLE for the bidding war of the teams Championship and wishes to run as a Privateer .... please message @Hatfield and let him know. If you are unsure how the Teams Championship operates don't hesitate to ask any of the long term ROOZ members.
Its a tough job mate and there can never be a perfect scenario to get every driver exactly right when everything is taken into consideration. That said, after 25 odd seasons with GT5/6 we have found its the best way to do it....Place drivers based on qualifying time (the same car so it gives us a "rough" baseline) and after a season we get a pretty clear indication of someone speed based on champ position and lap speed. Hope that makes sense

Waaaayy too much work for the mods here to do that every season. Gotta remember, this is a voluntary thing. Happy mods = happy... bods? Edit: Field is looking good. A few unknowns but the rest will be in for some great racing!

Thanks spidey, its going to be tuff but learned heaps racing running with you guys in hto series and loved every minute dicing with you and juzzy and co. Hanging for the new season if juzzy don't kill me up at bathurst for the 12 hour. His a machine on the turkey's

@Mod team, has there been some kind of mistake? I put my name down for both but ended up choosing GT6 (I did say it somewhere), I haven't sent a time for PCars either so not sure how I was placed?
