Good news guys - you'll get 60FPS and High visual settings on PS4 http://community.eu.playstation.com...ars-will-be-60fps-on-PS4/m-p/22016169#M167034
Gonna be an expensive couple of months for me I reckon. Need a new wheel for PS4 (currently running a G27), and getting a TV mount for my Hyperdrive and a TV to put on it, plus PCars.
What a read. I'm getting dizzy. So am I right in saying that basically if you are running Thrustmaster or Fanatec gear you should be right, but if you have Logitech gear your screwed??
Fanatec are currently screwed as well. http://www.fanatec.com/forum/discus...ussion/85/xbox-one-compatibility-faq-and-poll It sounds like game devs can hack together partial support for controllers as a HID (Human Interface Device), which you might compare to basic 'built-in' Windows drivers for various hardware as opposed to proper manufacturer drivers. This might bode well for G25/27 support in pCARS on PS4 (if not at launch then perhaps in a later patch). The devs will definitely see the value in supporting it if it takes more time to enable it. For WMD members the thread to read is: http://forum.wmdportal.com/showthread.php?18305-XBoxOne-and-PS4-Wheel-Support "If a device can be supported on PS4, be assured we will be looking at it" Reading between the lines perhaps suggests he purposefully said 'can be' rather than 'is'
Thrustmaster only, as Logitech and Fanatec use the Infineon chip, and both Sony and Microsoft seem to be refusing to give them the millions that Immersion want to allow the Infineon to be recognised on the new generation consoles. Logitech can't distance themselves from the chip, because they seem to cross own each other as I read it, meaning they want the console makers to pay them a sh!t ton of cash to use their hardware, and Fanatec seem to be going somewhere along the same lines. It all stems back to Sony and MS wanting to make up cash lost on initial hardware with add on licensing, and peripheral makers finding a way to trap them into a big arse lawsuit to get the licensing fees back. Did that make sense?
Just for s and giggles I downloaded war thunder onto my ps4 yesterday and was able to get my logitech extreme pro 3d joystick to work.......logitech product on ps4, could be that it's not sony or logitech that is the problem but the game developers themselves, although war thunder is made by Russians and as we know they don't care who they piss off. That being said I will probably get a t300rs (supposed to be as good if not better than a t500) and some fanatec clubsport pedals, with a cpx adapter to connect said pedals to the wheel, just waiting to hear if this will work. Ps4 arrived within 2 days after purchase from dick smith online on Sunday, will probably pre-order Pcars tonight, and will order wheel and pedals as soon as I have the info I'm waiting for, it's all coming together hmmmmmmm.
Oculus Rift = PC Project Morpheus = PS4 There were 2 pCARS areas, that one was PC, the other one was in the Sony lounge (PS4)
Out of interest guys, for those running Pcars on the PC, what specs are most people running (CPU/GPU)???
Question RE liveries ryzza, if the console version isn't going to support a livery editor, will there be the option to select different colored racecars, or will everyone be forced to race identical cars ?
Cars come in a selection of colours/liveries, some official, some made up by the devs, some made up by the WMD members.
