    Also "there will be nearly 2k radio transmissions in the game. Unlikely you'll be hearing many of them twice for a fair while" - a lot of the recordings are done by Ben Collins.

    What the story on network stability and the servers ? Please tell us that it will be better than the can and string setup that PD have with GT6. If they get that right then I know it will be a huge boost for the title.

    Have been playing PCARS for a long time on PC alpha.
    This is going to kill GT on its claims of being the 'Simulator', especially on the PS4. GT will feel like NFS.

    It has great tracks, great physics and had Bathurst before GT (I think). The cars have a lot more options to change (not just a slider bar) such as individual suspension.

    "The Real Driving Simulator" isn't going to be gt7, it's going to be a game like PCARS

    Polyphony could learn a thing or two regarding communication. The sooner this game is released, the better !!!!!!

    I have been a big supporter of GT games for about 10 years (GT3, I missed PS1), but it has become a Nissan recruiting tool.at the same time, I don't want to see GT turn in to a NFS clone with liveries, etc. as it is supposed to be a simulator, not an arcade game. PCARS looks (at this stage) to give us the best of both worlds.

    Is it just me or is there only the sound of one car in that damage and physics clip?
    With all the bashing gt6 gets for it's sounds, I think gt6 kills it for sound (with the right vehicles) in replay mode based on that.
    Might be the fact that I use 5.1 surround with gt6 though..

    Sounds are often the last part of making each car, so we often first get them with generic placeholder sounds. Later on they get a better LOD, working driver animations, working windscreen wipers, rain effect on glass, damage, liveries, engine sound, transmission + other sounds, external sound reverb, AI sounds, etc.

    The problem is that many members like to show off the brand spanking new car that's just been added to the game despite not being 100% finished.

    Can you turn on headlights when you want ?
    Wipers don't make sense to me if you can't control the lights as well.

    Well you can also change brake bias, anti roll bar settings, and so on but I'm assuming that's a bit much for a gamepad to handle. Although technically you can connect keyboards to a console so who knows. I can only go on past experience with other games.

    I saw a vid this morning and the guy (one of the developers) said that the cars come ready to race and there's no tuning you can do?
    Glad to hear you can do brake bias and stuff.

    erm who was that? There's already advanced car setup pre-race (as in most sims), pit strategies are being implemented atm, and as alluded to there are advanced in-race controls available (on PC at least).

    Maybe next time I play I'll get some screenshots of the various options as they stand (GUI still being worked on)

    Customisation is car setup (ala iRacing), doesn't include installing upgraded components, weight reduction, body kits, etc. i.e. like real life motorsport. So you've got stuff like ride height, toe in/out, transmission ratios, fuel amount, etc, etc and you can save your setups on a per track basis, or on a per track type (circuit v kart circuit v public road), or for all tracks.
