@MINT_GTR ... Gosh, that looks awesome! I'm pretty jelly of his setup.... I was going to say it looks too forgiving... you can't just slam down gears like that... unless that guy is just really good.. Dammm i need get a H shifter for this!!!
rene is a lemans racer and champion from some other race from what i remember so yeah hes prob that good lol and yeah slamming down gears can lock up the rears. that fanatec setup is fun i only need the handbrake then ill have the same
yeah I recon lol http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/René_Rast http://m.youtube.com/results?q=rene rast&sm=1
wow... that looks awesome... I assume this is PC version with all those screens etc... frame-rate is holding up here as well ...
I heel toe all the time, in fact it's such a habit when using the H-Pattern I have to think about it to not do it. Did 5 laps in a v8 a couple of years ago, even the instructor said probably only 1/50 people he's seen, even otherwise good drivers, have heel-toed and done it effectively. I've had lots of practise driving rubbish over the years, including my current 4x4 that has no synco in 3rd
Got some nice screenshots but I'm too lazy to copy all the URLs... so here: http://www.turboduck.net/2015/03/03/week-project-cars-screenshot-thread/
I'm the same started doing it at round abouts, now do it anytime I'm on the brakes. Done it so often i forget im doing it
Visually stunning but disappointing actually. Looks fun but wreaks of need for speed style game play - bounce of all the other cars and walls and you'll be fine. Ahh no nurburgring either. Very forgiving arcadey style grip levels with a somewhat digital response. No way could you have a prang like that (~1:40s and ~11m) and keep it in the same lane, let alone stop it swapping ends at least once. Same for smashing the tyre barriers away without much trouble (~ 12m20s).
The Nurburgring is in there as well as it's various configurations (8), it's called Eifelwald (GP version is the F1 track). It's got most of current and olden day tracks just called different names due to licensing, e.g. spa = belgian forest I think if it ends up being pretty similar to GT5/6 (haven't personally touched it), most people will be happy no?
it sounds like these guys dumbed down the settings on damage etc... so there may be hope handling wise... looks smoother than before ...those lighting effects in the fog were jaw dropping... not sure if it is 60 fps ... and hopefully the textures will be amped up for final release ... that interior view of the aston ... not good... something from 5 years ago...
I wouldn't panic. That's just a combination of having aids on and gamepad input filtering. And of course damage disabled. Put everything into hardcore settings and you can blow an engine just by bouncing off the rev limiter too much, for example. And the P1 can be quite a nightmare to handle with all aids disabled if you're not cautious. The funny thing though is that these videos are providing useful feedback as most of the WMD community testers are much like yourselves (decent drivers).
