Yeah ... my rig & G25 don't count either ... they were essential purchases ... like loo roll Next Wk13 I'm upgrading my motherboard ... and I'm keeping an eye out all the while for a good price on a G27 wheel (G27 pedals aren't much cop, apparently, but the wheel is an upgrade) ... after that I might need to switch it up and get some new stuff for my drums (I wanna new bass pedal ... Trick Bigfoot for those who know ... and a new snare ... undecided ... I need to go try some out) ... I want I want I want me me me
My CSTs are set-up, and they are so so sweet It's not clear yet if I'll see any speed improvements ... I have no real yardsticks (i.e. I've never raced the Skip @ VIR before). If 'talent' has been my limiting-factor, and not hardware, then I probably won't see much improvement. After a few laps though, I just don't care ... I'm having a whole new sim experience, and it feels 500% more like driving

Introducing the caped V8 ifighters - Beau-man and Rigby  You'll have to make a new skin for your new inspiration!.. to the Beau-cave!
If it gets the NTM, I'll definitely be looking at it, Beau-man. I don't mind telling you that I'm actually a little scared by the V8 !!! I just cannot pull it up ... like I'm at the helm of an oil tanker ... and I can't get her out of turns without an unrealistic amount of short-shifting :/ I've heard that using the right sets is important for the V8, but surely the baseline can't be THAT tough (!?), but I really struggle with it nonetheless ! You've been hitting it hard though, eh mate ... the Falcon crack-pipe The V8 was a massive draw for me when I started iRacing, and I will get there, and maybe even next season, but no promises ... I'm also considering another Skip season and running her in OMR in 2012 too ... the idea of racing the same guys every week has a lot of appeal for me ... it will give my racing a little more focus ... a little more meaning ... I don't know what the iRating cut-off will be for Div 1, but I certainly won't be in the mix for a top-ten championship finish in public-server-land if I get upped to pointy-end. I very much like the idea of teaming-up with you or a bunch of the ROOZ in a series, however ... a team livery ... pooled thoughts/setups ... I like very much Won't say anymore ... let's just see who/what gets the NTM, and then I'll decide ... ... oh, and what was it Mav said "Bull! You can be mine (my sidekick)" Maybe you've stumbled on the basis of the Rooz skin, Dave ... black, red highlights ... classic colours
Beau pointed this out to me in the weekend. Something to keep an eye on. Looks pretty interesting, a bit of work to do on the physics perhaps but promising.. I loved Grand Prix Legends, was actually resurrecting my interest in it and giving it another bash just before Beau told me about this. Great coincidence, and great to see a new game incorporating these awesome old GP cars. http://www.wmdportal.com/projects/cars/ Make sure to watch this vid in full HD - and turn it up loud, the sound is awesome http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/24-hours-later/ There's some awesome screen shots in this GTP thread. Scroll down for more. Superb. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=214037 Sounds like they've got a bit of work to do on the physics side, but it is only 10% complete!
Crap ..! Either my graphics card or my displayport > dvi adaptor have karked it ..! Console racing was so much in' simpler
Bugger! I know aye tell me about it. Half of my time 'playing' on Saturday was spent tweaking this, adjusting that, copy and paste this... "oh now the FFB has messed up", reset the game. Frustrating sometimes. For some reason my iRacing is not drawing all the track details when I first join Okayama (don't know about other tracks). I haven't changed anything, it's all on full. There's no trees (and probably other stuff). Unless I leave track and join again a couple of times they don't appear so had to do full races like that. A little distracting when it's unfamiliar. :/
I had the same issue in S2 for about a week in the SRF ... mostly at Jefferson. I think it went away all on its own, mate, so fingers crossed for ya.
Dusty found a fix on the iRacing forums - worked for me. My Documents > iRacing > renderer > set fix ATI adaptive AA driver bugs = 1 (default =0)
^^Forget this... iRacing has just announced the Lotus 49 is coming in 2012 by the same team that did this car for Grand Prix Legends in '98 Saaahweeeet - Ironic all this GPL related content is about just after I resurrected the game on my own PC... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4dVOXe9VjY&feature=youtu.be&t=2m18s
