    Actually it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was really touchy for first 2 laps but after that it was manageable.

    Had a night to forget sunday.

    Race 1: When Clevo reset the room I got the rolling bars under everyone and nothing was responding so after 2 mins I quit and reloaded and rejoined with only a 5 minutes to qualify. I managed 2nd with a low 1.14 which surprised me cause bluemoon and S_CLOSE were doing much better times before the reset. Anyway off we go and I'm right with emmo and we were starting to pull away and I think it was the 2nd or third lap I touch too much of the rumblestrip on the last turn and put myself sideways into the pit entry tyre bundle. That killed my race and I only managed to finish 2nd last.

    Race 2: Started in 5th and got a really good start and coming down to the first corner bluemoon and S_CLOSE ran in way too hot but S_CLOSE managed to hold it and we set off after emmo. I seemed to be performing a bit better on cold tyres than S_CLOSE and was just about getting confident enough to pass when we come to the first turn again (lap2 or 3 I think have to watch the replay again) and he's real squirmy on the brakes and I try to put the power on a little early and woosh goes the ass. I managed to rejoin behind bluemoon and Clevo who were having a ding-dong battle and managed to get back past them and reeled S_CLOSE back in (after what I can only guess must have been an off track excursion for him) and put my head down to try catch emmo but he held the gap at 16 secs until the last lap and a half when he must have realised he had enough in hand to back off and finished 9 secs ahead of me.

    Race 3: Got another good start and was in behind emmo again. I seemed to have an edge on the first section and could close in and then he got better drive out the slow-speed turns and pull away and then I came back on the high-speed turns. Then I think it was lap 2 or 3 again I come into turn 15 and I thought I was ok but it ran me way wide and I touched grass on the wrong side of the rumblestrip and away she goes again. Pitted half distance and as I entered turn 9 had a little half spin again. Then second last lap coming out of turn 12 ran wide and put myself deep into the gravel again. I didn't deserve a podium finish that race but I somehow pulled it off.

    Congrats to emmo46 on his 3 victories, and I'll see if I can keep it on the track for the next lot of races.

    that was the one race i was genuinely dissapointed about missing-the vette around laguna. i loved that season, didnt really mind the G37 and the camaro was just a season to forget for me, lucky to have not got relegated from div2 that season lol.

    A great night on Sunday night for me.
    It's rare that i'm on the pace for any race, but on Sunday I was right there near the front in every race. And even managed to walk away with a win, it's been a long time since my last win.

    Race 1 - 2nd place
    Qualified mid pack but somehow found myself in the lead a few laps in. While I was setting the pace, I knew I couldn't maintain it as I was killing the tyres.
    Went to pit with a 2.5s lead over N64Stig, but went in too fast and got reset. This cost me dearly as after N64Stig pitted I was about a second behind him.
    I chased him as hard as I dared, but each time he made a small mistake I seemed to make one straight after. In the end our pace was too even and I couldn't put any pressure on him to make a pass.
    Hit what seemed to be an invisible wall on the exit of a tunnel during the last lap which let him cruise to the victory.

    Race 2 - 3rd place
    My good finish in the first race counted for nothing in the second as I had to jump out to buy a new car, so I started right at the back. I didn't participate in this season but knew the car was a wild one so I focused on taking it slow and steady.
    I made up places as those ahead made mistakes; I don't think I made a single pass here, and found myself in 2nd behind Joe.
    I chased him for a number of laps, but once again didn't quite have the pace to close the gap. I was looking good for 2nd place finish until I made my one and only mistake on the final lap and went off the track (wheelspin in 3rd gear!).
    This handed 2nd place to Gary but I was able to recover to secure 3rd. Good drive Joe and Gary.

    Race 3 - 1st place
    Ran in 3rd for a few laps while N64Stig and Gary battled for the lead. I think Gary made a mistake somewhere and then it was up to me to chase N64Stig down. He went wide on Spoon curve and gifted me the lead. From there there was no looking back and I continued to build a lead for the rest of the race while the others battled.
    A strong win for me.

    Looking forward to next week.

    i was looking forward to getting all sideways and ugly the ZR1, love that car..

    well the Camaro will always have a soft spot as i took Div 2 Championship in it..
    G37 for me was always a 50/50 car, like it enough to drive i suppose. :p

    Triple points for one race means that if you stuff it up you get triple penalty as well as triple reward for winning. I f you want to give the other guys a chance to catch up why not make the last round three 18 lap sprints instead with reverse grids for the 2nd and 3rd race. That way all your eggs aren't inone basket and you can recover.

    I think the real issue is that the winner of the first and second races automatically got pole for the next race. That was a great advantage to me and I think it is unfair for the other competitors. There should be 10 mins qually for each race or the subsequent races could have been reverse grid. It would have been much closer in the points race then.

    I agree with Emmo, this event could use some tweaking to make it closer, yet not too drastic to punish the guys that have done well. If everyone is cool with it we can still add one hot quali lap for next week, and split the last race into 2 races with reverse grid for the last?????

    One hot lap qual would of been the way to go in the past.
    I just hope there a decent turn out for Div 1, only 6 shows was pretty disapointing and makes it a tough gig for me.

    Zamps I probably wouldnt even notice if you were on, you'd be gone in the sunset. :p

    I dont do any practice anyway just jump on, keep it on track and take advantage of mistakes up front. I was even in 2nd for awhile the 1st race.

    Be good to see Natman, Hosie and others who havent showed, show up.
    Really 6 is pretty pitiful. I'd rather race with 16ppl even if it mean a alittle lag. Least there would be battles for most possies.

    I wanted to merge divs :p We could probably make 2 divs with the current amount off ppl showing. Series nearly over anyway :p
