Well it was another very solid race for me, I was taken aback a little by the monstrous gap in qualifying, almost as big as Villeneuve's gap to Frentzen in the '97 Aus GP. At least it confirmed in my mind that Keeden was on a two stop strategy as getting the SS past lap 10 would risk puncturing the tyres.



Being able to keep within 2 seconds of Keeden in the first stint really set me up nicely for the win as he would have to make up at least 20 seconds on track, a tall order indeed. I felt I could have been closer but my car was extremely sensitive to the dirty air, and wouldn't be the last time it would come into play.

Stopping on lap 13 meant 15 laps on the mediums, but in hindsight I was perhaps too hard on them early in the stint, as towards the end, Knuckles was closing in too and so was Keeden despite the relative lack of wear. I was in for a tough time once Hat decided to join the party, if I had my time over I would have let him past straight away on his new SS's. After spending about 4 laps on my tail he finally decided to chuck it up the inside but by this stage his tyres were already worn he wasn't pulling away fast enough! I could do nothing as I sat in his dirty air and watched the gap to 2nd & 3rd come down rapidly. It's a brilliant new addition to the game but I certainly rued it this race!

On the final lap Knuckles went for the glory move into turn 10 but couldn't pull it off, leaving me in the clear to take the win. I honestly think if he waited until the DRS zone I would have finished 3rd. But I'll take these wins when they come, Keeden's speed ultimately proved the 2 stop was the faster strategy, but the low risk strat got the job done. Props to them two for a magnificent fight!

Pumped for Melbourne for the first of 7 big 100%ers!

So @Zachery you wanted to move a proposal regarding start times?

Ahh yeah. Id like to propose that we start half hour later while daylight savings is in affect. Basically means those who changed clocks would start half hour later and those who havent changed clocks would start half hour earlier. I personally am likely to miss many rounds due to the difference in time.

I think it would only be fair that we both gie half hour each way?
