    Col, when in standby, try holding the power button on the front, down for about 6 seconds. This will reset all graphics settings just in case something's gone astray somehow. This will save you from trying other connections for now. You'll hear ps3 beep and appear to reset after a few seconds.

    If this doesn't help, try either another hdmi cable, another hdmi port on tv if possible, or component (av) like previously mentioned

    You mean from the site telling you there are new posts? If that's it, just hit the unsubscribe button below the right hand side of the last post in the thread that you dont want to hear about.
    If it is something else, you will have to give some more details.
    If there is one person/mailing list/address sending you lots of stuff, and you cant make it stop, you can set up a rule in outlook to automatically filter that address to the bin, or another folder.

    Sounds like you are getting subscribed to every topic you post in. Go to your profile at the top of the page, and go to the privacy tab. There is a check box there that says 'automatically subscribe to every topic...' Make sure that is not checked. The next bit is more tedious, you have to go to every thread you dont want to be notified about and hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom right, as I posted above. If the box isnt checked, and all of the threads have 'subscribe' instead of 'unsubscribe, then it is a problem for Castro I think.

    For your cluttered inbox, sort the emails by sender (click in the bar at the top of the page), highlight the first email you dont want, scroll to the last email you dont want and hit 'shift' and click it. Should highlight the lot. Then delete. Win!

    Good news about the PS3 too! Was it a cable problem?

    System software update 4.40 will allow users to download content purchased from our online store to their PS3. This feature is not available yet and will be activated in May 2013. Keep an eye on eu.playstation.com for a detailed guide explaining how to make the most of this feature.
