I had an awesome race, not being a NASCAR expert i was just hoping not to wreck anybody. After getting an amazing start, 3rd to 1st, boost caught up, i dropped to forth on lap 2.... then wrecked about 10 cars....... after that i think we all decided that going low.... your going to have a bad time!! So soon everybody starting bailing for the pits around lap 13-16 and by lap 18, i found myself with a monster gap as my tyres, down to 2 on the rear, they felt fine! I decided if i could keep going to lap 20-40-60 etc, that while i was being caught by boost drivers and with better tyres, when i came out, i would have better tyres, plus me being in last, i could boost back up very quickly, so my strategy was nice and simple. Well..... until i ran 3 laps short of fuel, i then had to do 23 laps on one stint. I did 21..... then out of fuel I decided to try the impossible and run 24 laps at the end. But then.... i realized i wouldn't make it on fuel So i waited until lap 85 to come in, thinking that would be the best time to act, and it worked a treat!! With about 7 to go i was right back onto the pack, i wanted to stay towards the back of the pack until the end. So a lap later i was out front... Boost is so crazy at how it affects these cars!! Unfortunatley CAGM got the Death Wiggle and in trying to save it came in front of me and put me into the infield wall, stopping me instantly, i spun it around in the hope Boost could save me with just 3 laps left on the clock. It almost did.... as the field entered the first corner all hell broke loose and i took avoiding action After watching the replay if i held my line, i might have made it through, but i didn't, and emmo had the smart's to pull it off and a fantastic move on CAGM to take the win!!! Well done also to CAGM for the recovery on the last lap and V8 storming his way to P3!!! P6 was all i could recover, but holy cow..... people do that stuff for a living??? Na uh.... ill stick with school for now i think
Emmo blasting through the carnage has been watched by nearly 400 people on Sookbook, and there's only about 90 page followers lol. Brilliant move.
From memory, its a slightly shorter lap than daytona, but will keep it 100......hopefully my net is fixed by then.
Looks like i've picked the short straw and have to take the rellies out to the airport in the wee hours of Friday morning so will be a no show this week
ok cagme....natman was keen to race so i will get him to sub for you..... I will get the teams / lobbies and regs posted tonight.....stay tuned....
Damn shame CAGME....but Natman is a top sub . hopefully the finish can be a little more controlled this time lol
