A million dollar anyone?
I guess I'll infer that to mean torque doesn't matter. I just thought considering how low power the car is, it would be good to get the wheels turning early on, because it's an FF and the bulk of the weight is at the front. I inferred that that is why I can only do a burnout on a hill - less weight on the front wheels so there's far less traction when I'm at the peak of the torque range.
I also thought it would be easier on me as the revs spike pretty quickly in first gear, and I have less risk of letting them hit the limiter and damaging the engine by shifting immediately in the torque range. Then by 3rd gear, I can sustain the revs the longest to get the real benefits.
