Also thinking initial qual for race 1 each round, and reverse grids for the rest of the night. Comments?
only thing is, the turtle beach race is on 24th. other than that, i prefer just normal races, rather than a sprint configuration and no reverse grid. not sure if ill be up for 3 different races as well in one night, considering people will want break etc. between the races. im cool with whatever goes though, dont really care.
Well we can bump back a week to miss the TB prize race no issue. I went with the 3 sprints a night so this isn't dragging on for 10 weeks, we want to keep it quick and fun.
Bumped start date back a week to clear the prize race, I have listed tracks , and an estimate of laps. Now I need some people to put up their hands, and run some testing, I need the laps for the sprint rounds tested and firmed up remembering the sprint rounds are for 20min approx races. Can someone do that for me please? Beanie?
hey clevo, yeah, i'll have to buy the cars and have a quick blast. to be honest, i've been spending too much time in iracing than even practising in GT5 lol.. i'll see what i can do on tomorrow/saturday
I did a little bit of testing, I love this series. Two things I'd change however: I think to make it a pitstop race, we need to make the tyre wear on very fast. The other thing? For the love of god, can we not race on Madrid? Hell Kart Space is a better option than that monstrosity!
what wrong with Madrid? it a great track to race on mate, it tight and make you fight for the past on another driver..
This is a good point. Not sure about season 1, but a pit stop for was definitely required for regular rounds during Season 2 in the Supra, and Season 4 in the McLaren (most went two stops for enduro's) and probably a couple more seasons after that too. So inkeeping with recreating each season, this would be a great idea for these rounds at least, if not all. Top job setting this up guys. hey Clevo, i tested all cars on all tracks today and punched in a few figures (with correct tyre configs etc) i've updated the original post with lap numbers for each track as well as the points structure. let me know if i've missed anything??
i wouldnt mind no pit-stops, the races are only 20 minutes i just thought it would be fun just to have an all out sprint
why would we want to change compound when most seasons were only 1 anyway, and its a sprint (20 mins)? just asking, i cant understand why.
Just letting everyone have a say, we have had dual compounds before, and most races in the series (as mentioned in earlier posts) required a pit stop, and some people would like to have a stop.
