First thread to discuss what we want from season 2. I would love to see a race car with a bit more grunt, like the v8 supercar, Merc GT3 or the like. Was also hoping for a season with pitstops and a change of tire compound if the patch has been delivered by then ! Tracks....so many to choose from i am sure we will come up with a good mix again. Discuss and we will separate into a car and track thread when we get a few ideas. Cheers Stu
Street car, I vote the Ferrari F430 handles soo good on GT6 compared to GT5, also think Ascari should be added, as it provides good racing.
I'm with you Stu, a race car with a bit more grunt. One that makes it a bit more of a challenge too. The BRZ is a very driver friendly car. Don't go overboard though. Example, the TVR was crap. Hhmmm I think someone mentioned it in the community series thread, the Mclaren F1 base model is a great car. Awesome inside view too. I would give the Falcon a go, but I'd then have to go and sterilize myself after each drive. Me, drive a falcon, NEVER. LOL Here's hoping the rest of the V8 supercar grid comes in the next update. Something tells me I'm dreaming.............
Yep tb that was me I think, im still gunning for mclaren f1 base, would rather a racecar again but much more 'racey'. This is good for close racing and very accessible (like season 8 in gt86 in season 8) but id vote for more grunt.
If we go Ferrari, I think Sports Tyres. The F430, F430 Scuderia and 458 are all good fun to drive. If we go race car, I'd vote for the BMW M3 GT2 - it's stock tune is good and it's a heap of fun to drive. Lots of grip and plenty of grunt.
Tracks? Meh...not fussed. Depends again on the car chosen...but Brands Hatch GP would be a nice addition
I think any road car over 480pp on sports tyres would be good balance if lower then comforts would be my suggestion.
I'm up for GT3, and if we used the Merc, I have noticed the 15th anniversary edition has quite a good setup in it, it definitely rewards the committed driver, even on mediums it still gets wheelspin (possibility then for mandated stops to the same compound?), I'd rather a race car though. Even one of the DTM cars maybe? Good old GT4 content right there. As far as tracks, I'd love to see a few longer races. Don't get me wrong, 45 odd minutes of tense hard racing is awesome, but I'm a sucker for longer races, maybe 2 enduro's? One to start the season and one to end it? Oh wait, this needs to be about tracks lol, Trial Mountain surely has to stay again, the seasons best racing (div3 wise) was there, I'd love to see a night race though. Nordschleife starting at dusk and ending at night? Or Spa?
I like the idea of the Ferrari. But can everyone afford over 1 million? Or even half? And the services and body reconditioning would be painful too. 458 Italia and the 06 F430 come in around 300 G's. Both good choices I reckon.
bit of a leftfield idea here, but have you thought of doing a rally stage (Eiger Nordwand dirt and tarmac) with tuning alowed? (keep to original pp) narrows the car choice a little, but it would be a laugh for sure..
although if we wanna go ferrari it's gotta be the F40, the car just oozes fun. for race cars i'm a fan of the mcclaren race car for sure, but any GT500 car would be a winner for me.
I'd like to nominate the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo '04, it was used for my inaugural State of Origin series, and I'm sure those who participated will agree that it provided great racing.
Given there is seasonal events, yes it's easily possible. Keep in mind the Citroen was like 5 million.
