There is no slow option for tyre wear. Its either off, real, or x2-x7. As for fuel burn it can be off, slow or real
So given tyre wear on real is more that 1.5 times as bad as the radical on x2 in which we have a compulsory pit it would be ludicrous to go with anything other than turning wear off. It's just one of the many compromises that have to be made when running default setups.
Hmmmm dunno bout this no tuning decision the gineta needs more turn in and different gear ratios, I feel like half the fun is taken away with tuning off but if that's what everyone wants. So be it
Wow I'm really loving this Ginetta, how this car got shat on last season is beyond me, this sets the Radical on fire and pisses on the ashes...
Really? I haven't noticed any excess tyre wear from the testing rooms. Is it controller related only? Do other wheel users get excess tyre wear?
The Ginetta has long been a go to of my mates during our race evenings for a good fun car with close racing. Here's a video of a few of us NCR crew going at it a few months back when @Clinton decided to finally get his internet hooked up: Now tell me that doesn't look like fun...
7 laps around Catalunya GP and the FL was down to 74%. Race distance would be ~ 23 laps so I'd finish with 14% on my FL. The car has enough understeer on fresh tyres I wouldn't like to see how bad it is at the end of a race. You wouldn't really notice it in the testing rooms as the races are only 5 laps around 1 min 30 tracks. So finishing on 90% wouldn't appear to be bad but when you project it forward to a race distance of 30 laps you'd finish on 40%. Also given the room settings are being tailored to provide good side by side "racing" having to take it easy for the entire race to ensure your tyres had some life in them at the end detracts from this objective.
Yeah, I'm noticing some pretty hardcore wear (and higher temps) too, and like CAGME I'm also on a controller. I had the same problem around Catalunya, FL was roasting and wearing like crazy.
Whats wrong with tire wear anyway. If we arent going to tune we may as well have strategy. Id be keen for x2 wear and making each race a 2 stopper.
pit stops are all over the shop with no tune. i think i remember someone saying they were given wets in the pits on a hot dry day lol.
Way too many issues with pitting on no tune, sometimes you wont receive tires and as stated above it sometimes gives you the wrong ones. Great work PCars, what a game lolol.
Yeah Adza, as the guys said above there are issues galore with the pit stops in no tune......Am certain there was a slow option on tires when ii looked last night....it was late though and i am a bit mad so will have another look tonight
yeah, will look at it all again after the last round this week.....see if there isnt something that we can come up with to bring in some strategy without making the glitches a lottery
