Here's a table put together using the SOFs scoring method ...

For a tabulated view of how the points were calculated, check out this link.

If you are happy enough with this (above), I'm happy to pass the spreadsheet on to whomever is nominated as official 'scorer' for this series ... while I'm available to help out if there's a need, someone running in the series should really score it.

Yeah Pies, the more upload, the better quality room so go for it mate.

Top stuff stone, looks great. I think sidfire was going to do it, shall ask him tonight at the race.

Thanks Stone you're a champ. Hopefully Sid can run with that spreadsheet and update the wiki with the results table.
It should be a bit easier for him now that we'll probably just have one room going for the rest of the race calender.

Just to confirm your SoF sensitivity -- This is an unhandicapped race, different cars although all Super GT500 class, limited to the same (600)PP and (race medium) tyres.

I thought the 0.1 might be a bit low given your earlier indication of 0.5-1.0 for unhandicapped single make events.
But in any case I don't think anybody would be unhappy with how the points are tallying at present, and if we maintain a single room it will become less relevant anyway.

Yeah, KoASt, the 0.1 works well enough. Its called "Sensitivity", but really the 'S' value is only sensitive to order of magnitude changes ... so 0.x will generally be good for unhandicapped, 0.0x might be better for some handicapping, and 0.00x for handicapped races.

You can then tweak things a little by changing the 'x'. What I tried to do in this case was get the points for 12th place in Wk2 to be close to 8th place points for the two lounges in Wk1 ... I thought that was about right, as the DAve was lower in Wk2 than it was for the two smaller Wk1 lounges ... :D

It warms the cockles o' me 'art to see you get across how it all works, KoASt ... I do appreciate that you've taken the time ... cheers

Cool, yea that does sound about right then. Cheers Stone
haha and no problems - it's a good system (I figured the order of magnitude was more crucial) so yea, least I can do mate.
From the Super GT book of GTLEAGUEINTHIANS - may the cockles be warmed that thouest may bathe in such warmth and the soundest radiating glow cherished by all....

Hey Carn, if we start using this SoF points system for this and/or other events can a dedicated wiki page be established to explain the system (probably just copy and paste Stone explaination or similar from the Katana thread)? That way you can just reference that wiki page for any event wishing to utilize this system without explaining it over again.

I think someone should step up and run this. I can't do it as I'm swamped. Sidfire1 was doing the ladder maybe he can Sid?

Sorry Carn I wasn't implying you should run it, I wanted to clear any amendments/additions to the wiki with you first.

Maybe Sid can do the scoring and Stone could post up the SoF scoring wiki page?

If not, I'm happy to help out but I don't know much about editing the wiki, especially adding new pages. I'm sure I could figure it out with a little guidance on how to get started.

Don't know much about editing wiki either, but in some ways that just makes me more inclined to give it a go ... so ok, if someone can post driver/division (so I don't have to look for Divs) and finishing positions, I'll do the rest.

Either that or we just ditch the first round and run standard points system for the single lounge (as outlined on the SuperGT wiki page) from here in....KISS

In Leeboy's Super GT wiki page the scoring system already there will need to be amended to referernce the SoF system, and the bonus points for fastest lap and pole either abolished or included into the calcs.

IMO I would create a separate wiki page for the SoF base scoring system and provide a link on the Super GT page where you can detail any bonus points over and above this specific to this series i.e. fastest lap and pole

Another upside of me not scoring is that others gets to fiddle with the spreadsheet ... see how simple it is and just how easy to use. Good on yer Sid

Do you just need the .xls (I've got your email addy)? I can do that tomorrow at work.

Then depending on what blurb is needed for the SOF wiki page, I might need a couple of proof readers to make sure everything that needs explaining is explained, and in a way that makes for easy(er) reading.

This is just SOF_ver1 as well ... I want the max bonus and sensitivity to work in a more intuitive way eventually (but that will need a macro or two; or the possible intervention of our resident IT guru, Outta) :D

edit: Hi Stone, just read your postings.. you can email me the spreadsheet , and as I am yet to catch up on how you actually score them would be great with the guide too :)
