Guys I had a tremendous race, Thanks to all of you who calmly were qued up behind me and waited to pass on the second race though, I went from 8th to third, then come 4th or 5th lap just completley fell off pace as you can see with the lap times, my car turned into a snow mobile, to much drafting round the bends I believe........I am just happy to be in the top half off the grid after three weeks of getting absolutley anihilated by everyone.... gues by putting the time in practicing and tunign the car to be semi decent is starting to pay off.

Looking ofrward to next weeks battle royale!!!!, imo GT league is where it is at for me boys, I really enjoy racing everyone from different divisions, it really does make it more interesting for me, and I believe I learn alot more racing with those players who are super quick, because I can really try and keep on their tail and see the lines that are the quickest........

Great race to all involved, now off to Tsukuba to get ready for 36 laps of pure carnage

Well it looks like my tuning 'on the run' between races 1 and 2 at Tokyo paid off!! Though I should have finshed higher in Race 1, as I was 4th before losing it and violently turning 90 degrees and putting the nose in the wall :( I'm sure it was the damn ripple strip that started to crank the car sideways! Anyway, good race everyone. It really spices things up with the different drivers and cars. Equally enjoying both Wed and Sun nights! Without this league i wouldn't even be playing the game as I found the singleplayer quite disappointing.

Well said. I look forward to our League races, haven't touched the single player for ages.

I find I'm very cautious around other racers, once I get a bit of space, I can generally throw down some quick laps, but as soon as there's someone near me, I take wide lines and brake early... I just don't want to screw up someones else's race by me turning in early or something.

Not sure if I'll make it to Tsukuba, it's my wedding anniversary on Wed night, so I may get dragged out for the evening. I'll let you know before-hand if I'm coming or not. Pity really, I like Tsukuba a lot.

    :)

Yer i was right behind you and give you a little bump i think and got swamped, lost a few positions but i should have been a bit more aggressive and dived to the inside. Wouldn't have mattered my car was so slow it was embarrassing. Hope i can learn next week track as good as i learnt this one, enjoyed starting up near the front.

anyone know why the calsonics were so slow this round? We have 5 in the comp but we all had shockers this round.

I was thinking the same thing Pies. General consensus is the calsonics are the "pick of the bunch" performance-wise but they all (or most) were down the back of the pack. I guess it could come down to how the gear ratios etc were set? Some cars just perform better on different tracks too.

    :)

Have only driven the default online Calsonic ... but it was bolted to the track. R246 need something 'pointier' ... almost all the turns are linked by sizeable straights, so being able to get on the gas as early as possible is a must or you will drop time everywhere! Tokyo also has no slow sections, and so nowhere to claw back time with superior grip. My $0.02

Sid will be onto it, I'm sure ... I sent him the spreadsheet yesterday. If he can't get to it soon however, I can do it over the weekend ... perhaps, but today is a no-can-do, I'm afraid mate :)

lol 1st race I did all the hard work to catch up, after a failed pass 1st lap... had sid behind me. Caught up to carns then perfectly spun it right in front of him

2nd race I passed darko down the staight on about lap 3, came out of turn 1 and something happened. Felt like I hit a speed bump or something, just all of a sudden it flicked and spun. It wasnt one of those ones were your on the curb and and give to a little to much gas and you feel the rear starting to go either. I couldnt feel this coming at all, it was a sudden jolt. Have to check the replay sometime and see what happened.

Sidfire I saw you flashing your light behind me lol.

Yeh I wish I could say those knocks were just lag, but that was just me trying to stick as close as I could to you under brakes hoping for another passing opportunity or to unnerve you, then I got you a little too hard and you spat out sideways so I settled down a bit. You drove really well there was no way around so good job there.
