I like like how smooth it is and also the new tokoyo track, it looks pretty simple but it is actually very fun to drive. We were told this demo was an early build from before e3
Something I forgot to metion yesterday was that I asked about the 2 wildcard entries and I was told that it was 'happening right now in Melbourne'. So anyone down south know of any events being held ? Also could be at a Nissan dealership somewhere. I guess that's' why there is only 4 rigs here instead on 6.
Graphics improved, Sounds improved, physics - GT6 with some more turn in from what I saw. The guys who had heaps of runs should be able to give you a better idea, but its all ultimately still Beta. I've heard nothing about the wildcard event. Any info you can get us would be mega helpful for Bryan or Nat who didn't get many runs in and had good pace.
With lap times of just over a minute, the times are gonna be even closer for all the top guys, new game, new track means probably coming back tomorrow knowing whats happening is your best chance.
Whats the car and track today? If its tokyo express in the GTR again, the time to beat was a 1:10.265
Same combo, fastest time possibly 1:09.8. Waiting times very long now, only had two attempts since this morning.
Not over yet, 9.8 guy (Jake) might not have a full license and my 10.4 was probably 3rd quickest today. Also it was good to meet @skywalker and @The_Spectre to discuss different techniques, approaches and just have a chat
Jake said there probably wasn't much left with his 9.8, though I guess a 9.5 should be possible if you perfect every single corner and every single shift. The track is highly sensitive to corner exit speed or how much you can carry through it because you spend over 90% of the lap on full throttle. I think the cut-off at the moment is now a 10.5 bar any ineligibilities.
Yeah if all they have managed to do add a bit of turn in then I think a lot of people will be disappointed. They have been banging on for years about the restrictions of the ps3 platform holding them back from the game they really wanted to make so I hope there is massive improvements in car behavior as well as the graphics and sound.
At the moment, PCars is the benchmark on what is achievable with car physics and dynamics (ignoring the bugs and whatnot). If GT Sport can't meet that then it will only have it's ease of online racing to redeem itself.
