    What a race that was.
Qually pace was close, less than 1s between 2nd and last.
I managed to sneak into P2 on lap 1 and held it nicely while @UrsineSaturn9 and @Xtr3meNZer battled it out.
Around lap 7 I overcooked it on T1 dropping me to 5th.
Caught up to @emmo46 and went 2 wide into the middle tight left, but emmo overcooked it on the inside.
For the rest of the race I was in catch-up mode to Saturn and Xtreme. The gap was about 5s and I was slowly eating into that gap. Once we got to the final few laps where they had finally started to battle, I knew that was my best chance to catch up and catch up I did.
With 3 laps left I was now within slip and on the penultimate lap Xtreme got squirrelly out of the final corner. I nabbed his slip and took him down the straight and held P3 into T1. I just wanted to keep it clean and did so, but he stayed in my slip and took FULL advantage of that down the final straight. We crossed the line 0.010 apart!!
Well done mate. It could have gone either way.

That was an awesome race and much tidier than last week. I had @Xtr3meNZer breathing down my neck for the last 7 laps and he just about got around me too on lap 26, but I kept it in front and a squirrely exit out of turn 5 for @Xtr3meNZer gave me a little bit of breathing space as @Matthyus came into the frey. I just held my concentration for the last two laps and managed to hold on to P2. Well done @SPye2_WAU on the convincing win and @LE_bananajosh for the fastest lap.

    What a night!

Qualifying in 2nd, I was surprised with the talent that was in the field this week. Managed to get a flyer in my qualifying, and managed to keep consistent throughout the qualifying session, so was pretty happy with that.

Into the race, and got through the first couple of laps with no incident thankfully (I was worried starting on the outside to turn 1). Got into a groove following Ursine for most of the race, saw Johnno come off early on, and though happy for the position, I couldn't help but feel for him after the last season (I bet the PTSD flash backs weren't any fun @Matthyus )

Following behind Ursine for basically the rest of the race, sitting between 0.9-1.3 seconds behind on average, we must have been pulling very similar times as I just couldn't close the gap. Johnno was keeping about the same 3.5 second gap behind me. Eventually when I did close up, and finally got in the slip, we had a few very close laps in battle, and very clean at that. @UrsineSaturn9 managed to keep the lead at the end of it though while I pushed it with everything I had to keep it close. That battle obviously got Johnno up within contention for the 3rd place position. Feeling the pressure, and wanting to catch Ursine, I had a squirrely moment, the rear wheels letting loose for about 0.2 seconds, hemorrhaging time, and Johnno finally caught up and was breathing down my neck. I held my own until he finally got past on the 2nd to last lap. I managed to stay right in his slipstream the whole way around, coming down that back straight right behind him, and a nail biter right to the end! 0.011 seconds he got me by over the line.

Excellent racing up here with Johnno and Ursine, clean and respectful race craft makes all the difference! Fubbles well done on taking a commanding lead - congrats on Pole and winning the race.

Watching this, it's awesome to see us side by side there, no contact, and both going quick. Good respect for each driver, thanks!

Another entertaining race, During pre qualifying I was disappointingly way off the pace and resigned to probably stating down the back. In qualifying I somehow put a really good lap together to be 6th on the grid. I expected to be bumped back as there were still a few laps left but nobody did better so I surprisingly started 6th.
I held position through the opening laps with those ahead stretching off into the distance and those behind dropping back slightly after a few laps. within one lap disco crashed at the final left hander and I passed johnno as he recovered from an off early in the the next lap. I was up to 4th .
Didn't last long as Johnno was much faster and when I held the inside at the left hander at the end of the back stretch he went to the outside. I held in close to give him room but accelerated too hard on the tight line and oversteered into the inside wall on the exit. Fortunately it as a shallow angle and I bounce back on track facing the correct way. I dropped two places and as I got back up to speed moon was looking for a way past but had to wait until the final left hander. He dived up the inside and I left room but he went straight on and I cut across the back of him, a very eventful lap and a time loss of about 5 seconds.
I held 6th then until the guy (I forget who) in 5th spun just before the first timing mark and I was into 5th again.
From there on I held a varying gap back to sixth as those behind shuffled about. A couple of times Bananajosh emerged from that pack and looked like he would close in on me quickly but errors seemed to drop him back again. As I approached mid race I was thinking about pitting but could see a big caterpillar of cars at about 6 seconds back and knew if I pitted I would come out in the middle that. I held off pitting until most of them had pitted and then I pitted on lap 17.
I came out behind mullac but he pitted next lap and I was 5th again. Max emerged as the guy behind me and I suspected he hadn't pitted so wasn't too concerned. He kept going though and occasionally would close up. He had actually pitted early and was a constant threat until race end. Some of his challenge was muted when bananajosh again emerged through the pack and slowed max in the battle but then fell back again.
Really happy to finish 5th (with the 13th fastest FL) and hopefully have cemented myself into room 3.
Congratulations to Fubbles for an excellent win and to Saturn and johnno for the podiums.

I did not expect to dominate the race last night. Johnnoclint kept me honest for the first few laps but fell away after going off the track. At that I point I knew it was my race to win - all I had to do was keep up the pace and stay on the track. You have to do a lot of self-coaching in order to get yourself through the race, because you don't want to screw it up. There's nothing more embarrassing than having a crash whilst leading. This played on my mind the whole race and I had to tell myself to focus and get on with the task at hand. Which I did. Great success!

    Round 3: Tokyo Expressway South Inner Loop - 25 Laps - 18:00 Sunny - 15/11
    [IMG]

    WELCOME to Season 13!!
As always please take 2 mins to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night......If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:50 AEST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
QUALIFYING : 8:20 AEST for 10 mins. If a driver joins while qualifying mode is active, room captains will need to grab a quick photo of qualifying results, cancel the race and then set grid by host.
In practice mode, once 10 mins has been reached, finish the lap you are on and park up off track. (Qualifying mode should be used so the room can be set to x0 tyre/fuel for qualifying)
RACE START TIME : 8:30 AEST (once qualifying has completed)

LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS : This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I always look at 1 or 2 starts if required due to DSC, but as it gets later everyone needs to be aware of getting things going. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....
SIGHT ISSUES: Ensure that you can see everyone on track. Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again.

FALSE START CHECK : Please note that the start type is Grid Start with False Start Check
Please practice this so you know what to expect. Simply, you hold the brakes on until the lights go from all lit, to none lit

TURN 1 LAP 1 : This has the potential to ruin someone's night if we don't use our heads! Should be everyone's goal to get through the first phase with ZERO contact. Give room and run in your 'lane' till you have space to run the normal race line. If your unassisted tap causes someone to spin, you need to redress.

TRACK LIMITS : As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage.
THE WALLS WILL BE THE TRACK LIMITS HERE. The biggest concern is the shipping container area T2-5 so you can cut the lines as the walls are our limits.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
If you bump someone and they end up off track or teleport back to the corner entry, you must wait for them to rejoin and get back up to speed.
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    TYRES : Racing Softs

PIT ENTRY : The Yellow Pit entry line is to be followed at ALL TIMES. 4 wheels across the line that determines Pit Entry will be seen as a violation of track limits and you will be subject to a penalty depending on severity and quantity of cuts. This starts on the left of the hairpin and you should be to the left of the line.
PIT EXIT : You are required to use the pit exit lane, Penalties will be adjudicated in similar fashion to Pit Entry. You should be to the left of the Yellow pit exit line. Please be aware of cars approaching out of the hairpin.
NOTE: There is a COMPULSORY TYRE STOP

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season the stewards will be will be @Hatfield , @Matthyus & @emmo46. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let them know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards will ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captain to make any decision.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

PARKING UP : If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres (or no tyres) so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car.

FINAL NOTE: Could all drivers please confirm their attendance for this Sunday by 'liking' this post in your division.
If you are unable to attend, please post in reply as much in your division. This way we can figure out our reserves or if the room can start early in advance.
(ALSO IF YOU KNOW YOU CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE POST SAYING SO, SO THAT RESERVES CAN BE ORGANISED IN ADVANCE)
If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race
