Yeah, I'm posting an awful lot (I was going to edit my post, but it probably wouldn't be seen). I got educated over the past half an hour. All I can say is, hell yeah! Tell ya what, I was surprised to see some GT Academy participant in the footage using a DFGT. It holds up VERY well, but I still thought they would force the T500 on everyone (being the official wheel of GT). Diverging quickly, I wonder whether a DFGT or a T500 would be better time wise. Frankly, I think the shifters would lose microseconds on the T500. I'd use the F1 rim though... Either way, I'm already eager to try my luck! Crazy trailer too.
Got kicked about half way. Another bad race for me, always intend to practice but the week just rolls over so quickly before I know it, its Sunday again!
I'm getting sick of this rumble strip rubbish. Couldn't touch one with out kicking the back end out which killed my lap times (2.26.9 fastest)
Well Warrior stepped it up a few pegs tonight and showed us why he's won this 4 times straight!! Or is it 5?? He took pole and after dancing with Musta, put it in overdrive and cruised away to win. I have an awful night, was doing a good qual lap and binned it. Then got into some Nascar drafting with Cyber before loosing it just before the back straight getting a bit excited as we were catching the leaders. Sorry again Cyber, I reckon we could have caught them, good tactics - bad execution... Anyway, well done to the top three and look out for next week, we might all stay on the track!!! Fastboysmith d/c'd early. FL 2:27.382. Zamps d/c'd as well but he is still recorded on the pic?? PS. Good stuff Crunch, the new wheel is starting to feel a little better I take it??
I think if you watch the replay of me from the first couple of laps, you will see me make one of my favorite moves, overtake around the outside, cant remember who it was but it was the fast right hander after the seconds S bend. Mustafur knows all about that tricked, pulled it on him to win one of his test econobox races.
Cheers. It feels just about normal now. That said, I still feel I have more pace to give. When the pack split into four, I definitely thought I could stay with the second pack if I hadn't made an error.
pretty happy with my race, i knew when it came down to it warrior would be able to break away as i was just too weak in the middle part of the track, but im mostly glad i was able to get a strong result after a bad start to this season. Im going to pick up my practise for the next round and try get on top of my problems with the G27.
Race 3 lap times are up http://www.raceonoz.com/threads/gt6-season-1-race-lap-times.908/ unfortunately I don't have times for Div 6 except for Rumbles.
You want to be getting into the 26's at least Smithy. Will be up for some laps after the Econobox race it you're keen.
