After the tragic news of the loss of one of Rooz's favourite sons, this race from now on will be known as the BJH Memorial Race of Champions, in memory of one of the most laid back, easy going, continually improving and just plain great guy I have had the pleasure of knowing over PSN. Rest in peace my good man.

Time to get the ball rolling again guys. For those of you new to the forum, this event is only open to those that win their division in the upcoming season, along with the winners of events planned and run by various members before seasons end.

It is a handicapped event run chosen by a poll (at a later date) to be held at the site of Bruce's last win here at RaceOnOz - Motegi East. Said handicaps are based on entrants fastest laps at that track during the season race there. I.E. the Division 1 winner will always start from the back of the grid with the biggest hanicap.

There are no divisional winners, just one champion of champions, so everyone get out there and see if you can earn yourself a spot. Positions on the grid are only via a PM once race/division has been won and in some cases, confirmed by the Mod team.

Quick note too guys, date has been pushed back due to the BYE ROUNDS in the regular season. The race will still be two weeks after the seasons last round. Just that it is now the 13th of July.

Realized I have done a bit of double standards in regards to what races make eligibility. Jono's fully boosted champ was dissallowed due to it being a boost event. Realized I have included the TB400 in the list and it too is a boost event. (sorry jono). That being said, the fully boosted event is now eligible provisionally.

When this goes ahead. I would like to do something different with the start. When the lights go out can we just roll around and form up again on the grid but leaving the number 1 grid spot vacant for our reigning champ. then start from the next minute that clicks over on the race clock. Hopefully will have some time to practice this before the event.

If I manage to qualify that's what I'll do, mics on that is. otherwise will have to organize it with whoever hosts if I don't qualify and the grid is full. (who am I kidding, with this amount of possible entries, it will be full)

Slight change in the plans for this event. There will be no poll to decide the track this time, as I saw it only fitting to host the first memorial ROC at the site of Bruce's last win here at RaceOnOz. So Motegi it is.
Next season we will go back to a poll to decide the track.

If the Div 5 Title goes to Bruce, which is still looking a good possibility. He will be included in the race in as much as if after the math is done, and no one beats his projected ROC race time, he will retain the title. I hope no one has an issue with this, but we all know he would have shown up and given it his all.

At this stage I will have to surrender my spot in ROC since GT academy nationals will be that weekend and I will be in Melbourne till Monday the 14th If things change I will let you know

In that case, I will look at postponing the race, as there is a couple of you who qualified for BJHROC and Nationals.

You could move it to an earlier date, unless it conflicts with something else

Already taken holidays for that week that now holds the nationals, so I wont be flying down with you as I will be in Melbourne already and wont be flying back to Brisbane till the Monday
