Cheers. Agreed. Half of Div1 was DNS this week. Disappointing to the see the premier division grid dwindling... again..

What about corrza, I've seen him log into PSN but no word?
Natman has had 3 DNS also but I believe he's been in touch with Outta and has been having internet issues.
Hopefully AussieNicko is coming back (fryz is onto that) and Outta let me know before hand he couldn't make it to Tokyo

Wiki leaderboard updated. Feel free to double check yourself.

I'm the opposite to you Paulie, loving the challenge of this car and these tracks, this combination has produced some of the best races Ive had, in our league that is. Not sure if your div 1 tyres make it worse but we are not getting any of the complaints we got from last seasons puss box.

Sorry fella's, I just couldn't give iRacing a rest for long enough to even think about running this weeks league race. I think I've said it before, Im all or nothing. If I can't find the time for a couple of hours practice, then I probably will miss the race.
I racing is just darn addictive. I'll try and claw myself back into the GT championship. Either way, whether I'm racing or not gtloz has got my support.

I think I might need to throw in more than a few laps' practice this week. Deep Forrest seems like a track I might not do too badly at. This lack of practice I've had is not so bad on outright pace, but killer on race pace/consistency and strategy. I can imagine the being airborn at the brake marker of turn 1 being a problem, especially if someone in front of you brakes early, can't do much about it mid-air. I want some podium finishes damn it.

    Awesome race!!

Qualify alone was just epic. I set a 45.0 early on, then with a bit over a minute remaining Paulie gets a 44.9!!. I had just finished an out lap and only had time for one more lap. Not to be outdone I put everything I had into my last lap and managed a 1'44.5, 4 tenths quicker than any other lap I have done. Sadly that would be the highlight of my night haha.

The race started hectic and I was on the outside of a 3 wide train through turn 1 and I fell to 3rd or so. Over the next few laps we all battled and fought until Koastr emerged in first with Myself in 2nd followed by Ansquad and then Paulie. I tried to mount a challenge to pass but my complete lack of confidence in this cars braking ability in slip stream meant that I could not outbrake Koastr into the first turn. Add in the fact its impossible to go 2 wide through that stupid kink on the straight + the fact that the track narrows on the inside in braking I just never felt like I could pull off a clean overtake. I really dislike the fact that the cars braking is so heavily affected. It seems if your out of the draft its fine but a few times I started the braking out of the draft only for my car or Koastr's car move in line and my braking force was weakened, causing me to run wide and loose time. I then focused my efforts to potentially getting him in the pits but a few mistakes on his inlap and my extra lap gave him some extra breathing space. I even lost a place to Paulie due to this error. After a few laps I realized Ansquad wasnt going to pit and neither was Chev. I could also tell by the splits that it was going to be impossible to catch Ansquad and Koastr was also driving too consistent for me to make up the time I lost earlier. In the end i pushed hard and managed to get Chev on the last lap in the last metres before the line, Awesome race mate and well done to Paulie as well, we had a great 2nd half to the race. Such an Epic finish and I was never alone all race. Wished I could have won as always but it was not to be! Master taction and consistency trumps pure speed!

I know it sounds like I have nothing but excuses for not being able to pass Koastr, but they are all my fault for not having enough talent to figure out an attacking strategy. Brilliant drive mate, I doubt I could have got passed you even if we both decided not to pit. Well deserved 2nd.

Massive congrats to Ansquad for the no pit strategy. 17 laps or 30minutes just isnt enough to warrant a pitstop with these Sports Soft. I should have done more testing in order to fine tune the pit strategy. Epic drive mate, you smashed us all.

Look forward to Deep Forest, this track holds memories of some great competitions dating back to GT3.

    EDIT
Congrats Beau on your win in Iracing!! Its a shame not to battle in GT5, but alas once I get my PC fixed I will join you in Iracing anyway!

Sounds like ol' Tokyo threw up some choice racing!

Sorry I haven't been able to make it guys, but technically speaking I'm a homeless bum a.t.m!
Might be able to swing a run on a mate's rig this Sunday, can I log in as me without my PS3 though?

My buddy's net might still be capped Sunday anyway. Wait & see. :(

hey guys sorry its taken so long to post up just been deciding what I'm going to do, I've decided to pull out of the season as sundays are just to hard for me as I'm always going away for weekends and can barely make it back in time if at all, this way someone else can have a go, I've spoken to chemist and he's pulling aswell, I'm not surprised I don't think his heart was in it for sundays as he loves his sunday sesh at the pub lol. But I will be organizing a midweek championship (different night to gt) Which I will host, I have proven 16mb internet this should be enough I believe. Give me a couple of weeks to research cars/tracks etc then I will post up what I have decided to go with. sorry again boys but its better I do this now than have any more noshow/dropouts. like I said gimi a couple of weeks than I'll post up the genre for expressions of interest.

Cheers Aussie, I'll take Chemist off the ladder, save myself some work filling in DNS!
I'll leave you on since you've completed/registered points for 3 races so far.

So Div 1 started the season with 16 drivers, and now we are down to what, 9? Whilst I respect everyone has a life outside of playing video games, it is somewhat disappointing.

If my testing done last night is anything to go by, then I was right about the turn 1 braking area, without slip you brake after being airborn, with slip you'd need to brake before the crest and that could make judging brake points very difficult.
