I'm in the same boat, going away Friday arvo till Sunday arvo, so about 16hrs less practice for me this week
I am now in to the 1:22's (down from 1:33's when I started last night), this week looks like it will be a close one, I will be getting some more prac in this week. Thank Zamps for your pointers last night too. Just remember, doesn't matter what your quickest lap may be during prac, that all changes when you have several guys around you all trying to get through the same corner I suffered the red mist last night chasing Purpledog up to the cork screw and ended up right up in the back corner building sand castles. Keeping your head is going to be a big part of being successful this week, as there is no room for error.
You can adjust Brake Bias, it's not classed as tuning and won't prohibit you from entering the track with tuning disabled in the lobby.
Phew, I thought I was going to have to disqualify myself for last week for a minute there, I was running 6 / 5
You can adjust brake bias, abs and tcs without breaking any rules, all other aids are turned off anyway in the race lobby.
I imagine would be hard, have you tried with T.Con about 3 ?? Might save the rear from swapping ends.
TC only really helps at low speed, plus if you set it too high, the car will just bog down and you'll lose heaps of time. Might help out of the corkscrew, but you could end up losing more time than you would by being a bit more delicate on the throttle with TC off.
I did last season, started using a DFGT since the Bathurst round last season. Tried a controller the other day and I just can't drive with it any more. I think Jako still uses a controller. You could probably pick up a cheap DFGT off ebay for around $50.
If you can't afford any of the Pagnian packages, have a look here: http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/logitech-driving-force-gt-941-000022/941-000022
I have a g25 but the wheel doesn't power on. I need to find some time to try and take the thing apart, have a feeling I'll just break it more though.
I'm sure if you put something in the shoutbox, or even started a thread someone here would be able to give you a hand pointing you in the right direction. The amount of g25/g27 users on here, surely someone has had exactly the same problem.
Hey mate first make sure all the cords are plugged in and secure if still nothing try a diffrent power cord.if still nothing another option is to open it up and check to see if the optical encoder disc is secure apparently the screws can loosen over time.I'd go with power cable.happend to my g27.hope any of that helps
Yeah he has already checked that stuff, it looks like it is the internals, he had a thread over in hardware asking about it a few weeks back.
Aw ok yeah maybe just few resistors burnt out good electronics shop should be able to help him if his warranty is finished
