What I mean to say is you can't get a criminal record for jaywalking lol.

Id imagine there would be a fair few speeding fines amongst this mob, surely that would be closer to a criminal charge than jay walking :p

I've only ever had one speeding fine...it's only illegal if you get caught :p

Here's a good question...what's the fastest you've ever driven on a public road in a car in Australia?
I'll start the bidding at 241kph in a tricked out RX-7...

Easy honestly, german cars are built like tanks so you don't feel the speed sensation that much.

You only start to feel the speed when you look off the road lol.

Well about a year ago in Mooney Mooney (Pacific Motorway) my parents were egging me to hit 160km/h down the hill to keep up momentum for the steep climb heading North, I achieved 165. Since I was driving the hilariously underpowered Accent with 4 people and a full boot, it came as no surprise to find myself doing 75 at the top, despite my foot at the floor! Driving at the high speed as very scary, as the wind noise was insane, the steering wheel and throttle were vibrating like crazy, and the car felt and sounded like it was about to explode!

In my younger and foolish days my friend and I had taken my Dad's Ford XE Fairmont S-Pak wagon with worked GTHO 351 out for a spin one night and on some back roads took the needle to (and well beyond) the limit on the speedo (which was 200km/h).
Not actually sure how fast we were going but at that speed on a slightly bumpy road with very light power-steering I can say that we were involuntarily changing lanes. Looking back now I can't believe we didn't crash and die but oh what a buzz!

And in the same car on a different occasion I booted it around a corner (literally 500m from home) and as I changed into 2nd and released the clutch and floored it the accel stuck full on. Seeing a T-intersection coming up fast the only thing I could do is hit the clutch, jump on the brakes and then once I'd washed off most of the speed, turn the car off and come to a stop (about 30m from the intersection). Luckily no damage was done but I didn't drive that car hard for a LONG time afterwards....

These days I save those speeds for GT6 :)

Recently had my Mums Infinity up over a buck sixty, and it did that effortlessly, felt like 80!

Going fast around corners is where its at though! No time for checking the speedo there!

Still not as big a rush as throwing the car sideways at 160 though.... but that was on a track:cool:
