I'm only able to do 54s race pace so really starting to question why I'm in Div 1. Looks like I'm going to get familiar with the fields bumper bars this season
Wouldn't stress too much m8. The talk of 51s is smoke and mirrors. No chance of that at race pace. Fast laps don't win races.
A single point is all you get for the fastest time in quali, but you can get a whole bag of points at the end of 26 laps. Fast laps are great, but they don't win you races
Yup and if you can do a fast lap by have no race craft you will get stuck behind someone with a bit of race craft who knows how to hold a good line and be fast in the parts that matter. That's why it is called racing, not hot laps. Race craft plus a good smooth lap time will win on the day.
These boys know, consistency is the name of the game...In my example, in 47 Sunday league starts I only have 3 Fastest Laps...but I have 2 Championships
Yea don't stress mate, 51s is only a 1 lap thing. Like I said earlier in the convo il be doing 53s race pace
Well I think we need to do a full room practice tonight gents , Who's in ? 15 min practice 10 min qualy , 7 lap race then repeat .
