    Meant to announce a new member to our group, Rotor, well there's some xx's in there somewhere. Welcome to Div 2 mate. Rotor, get everyone on your FL champ and keep an eye out for the boys during the week. Be good if everyone could get on early this week. Now, I don't mind who host's this week, Gary's room seemed better than mine, but I've have 12+ in with me previously without a problem so I know it's more a network issue. Irrelevant, N64 and Dougz, is there a night this week you guys could get online together in a room, mine, yours, Ghandi's, don't care. Let's try and sort this out before Sun night. I'm good any night bar Thurs (grid event), and Sat (Red's vs Lion's - Oh yeah!!!).

    PS - This week is the sprint round, remember Hard tyres and walls, lot's of walls...

    Im busy tonight, thursday night should be ok. I'm not sure if i'll make the race on sunday though. It's my Dad's 70th. I may not be in any sort of state to drive haha.

    Ok, well if N64 can be on Thurs as well and you 2 can try a room. Are you around Thurs Gary? Can you host this Sunday again Gary, as it's I may not be running this Sunday. I have a mate's birthday bash on Sunday arvo (long weekend!) and like Dougz it could be messy or at the very best, late. Will try my best to get on though.

    Yeah, can make both Thursday and Sunday nights. Can probably get on around 8.30-9pm Thursday.

    Guys, below my port forwarding settings as I have accumulated over time to fix lagging/connection issues on all sorts of online games:

    Bear in mind first thing I did was to setup a static IP address for my PS3.

    Port 80 UDP/TCP
    Port 3074 UDP/TCP
    Port 5223 UDP/TCP
    Port 443 TCP
    Port 5730 TCP/UDP
    Port 88 TCP/UDP
    Port 3478 TCP/UDP
    Port 3479 TCP/UDP
    Port 3658 TCP/UDP

    I set these config for both internal and external ports.

    Before I opened most of these ports my connection was on NAT3 and changed to NAT2.

    Hope this helps, barely ever have any connection/lagging issues.

    PS: For lagging, you can set manually the best DNS servers for your internet connection by using this app: DNS Benchmark. It'll test a number of different DNS servers and tell you the best ones to use so you can configure them in your router. You can download it from www.grc.com/DNS/benchmark.htm

    I had some spare time to tabulate the fastest race laps from Daytona just out of curiosity. The interesting things are the overlaps, between Div 2 an 3 especially and the remarkable effort by Venda and Anon to get right amongst the Div 1 times.

    Sorry i didnt make it on last night guys.

    Yeh Tek, im NAT type 3 aswell. I have tried changing it. I gave my PS3 a static I.P and put it in DMZ but it didnt change anything.. :/

    Least we,ve narrowed it, seems like you can have one nat 3 in a room at a time. Get 2 trying to join and they wont play nice together. Looks like one of yas in gonna have to try change to Nat 3 if you both want to be in the same room at the same time.
    BTW i would of joined your practice session last night N64 but was helping with M3 testing.

    I dont think I'll go quite as well this week anyway dont really like Madrid so it will probably be my drop round.

    Nope, cant go a wired connection. Modem and router are the floor above me.

    It's not the case with everyone with NAT type 3. I've played with others before. Just turns out N64 and I are 2 that dont get along haha.
    I've tried changing it. I messed round with it all day trying different things and just got frustrated with it. Wasnt able to change it..

    Try one of these this is what sorted Colin_50's network issues. Basically they run data through your home's existing wiring, giving you ethernet ports wherever you have a power point :)
