I think Monza is a must as well, it's the shortest race time wise because it's soo fast so it shouldn't be too bad.

Definitely stay away from Singapore though that race will never end.

Well after a night of testing I can confirm some more details.

TC (medium) and ABS will be allowed. Driving line will also be allowed for those still unfamiliar to the course, just like the other leagues. However the game may force TC off onto you when you start qualifying so when before you leave the garage double check your assists.

    Weather will be variable.

It is possible to use a real F1 driver's number online. But only for the specific driver and team. So for example if I wanted to drive with the #30, I'd have to press square when choosing the Renault to disable the career driver, but you'll be driving as Palmer.

I have confirmed which rounds will be endurance races (100%) but I will not be revealing them until Thursday night.

There will be a meet and greet held the week before kick off.
All details will be posted in OP.

Looking forward to this. Had another wet session at Sochi earlier today, this time full wets, was a blast to drive. It's honestly the 1st racing sim where I felt I could still attack the course even in the slippery conditions. All others before this have failed miserably at feeling like you're actually fanging a car around on a wet road rather than an ice skating rink.

Very happy with my wheel setup with the G29, I will make sure I share my settings next time I jump on the game.

Sweet, if I'm not in by season start, I should be in by no later than spain

    @N64TheStig007 what does this mean?

The season will be split into 7 races 3 times.
Meet & Greet: Week before season starts
Flyaway Leg: Australia, Bahrain, China, Russia, Spain, Monaco, Canada
European Leg: Azerbaijan, Austria, Britain, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Italy
Pacific Leg #2: Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Abu Dhabi

Is there a break between each leg? I'm confused

each leg is separate so the one championship isn't insanely long.

My wheel settings with the G29:

    Advanced Wheel Settings:
    Steering Deadzone: 0
    Steering Linearity: 45
    Steering Saturation: 10
Throttle and Brake Settings are all: 0 for now, haven't seen any obvious need to change them.

I have FFB all set to 100.

I've also changed the buttons a bit, in particular to move DRS to the triangle as that's right where my thumb is. Using L2 to look back, L3 and R3 to look left and right.

When I'm in a race I keep the MFD so that I can just push left and right to change the fuel mix.

+1 for allowing assists in the form of traction control (medium) and ABS. I'd even say allow driving line IF the member wants/needs to use it due to limited track time or knowledge. If you don't use it, turn it off and don't complain if someone else uses it and gets more fun and joy out of the game for using it.
+1 for shorter qualy. Do full qualy in your own offline career. If I had to sit there and wait for 20 or 30 minutes for others to complete Q2 & Q3 I'd quit and wouldn't come back. Wastes to much time.
+1 for full damage, not simulation. We don't even run damage in pcars Sunday league and turning it up to max in an F1 game would turn me off.

OK, so the ferarri was driving last night was like lightning in comparison to the renault ive been driving in career mode hahahha. Were all really going to have to be switched on and concentrate for this to work, even putting one tyre on the grass causes a significant traction loss!

also in qualifying, if you have signifcant damage (which is quite easy to do now) your instantly out of the rest of qually, just keep that in mind
