After many practice rounds of Sarthe by racing in International A or Super I say weather is a positive influence, the affects seem very realistic. But not too many weather rounds ... that would be unrealistic!

RS will be the qualifying tyre.
If you want to start on RS, simply qualify as normal.

If you want to start on RM, enter track on RM, 180 at the end of pits and keep to pit wall, enter pits and change to RS.
Once you finish your lap after 10mins, 180 at the end of pits and keep to pit wall, enter pits and change to RM.

Even if you don't change back to RM, only YOU will see your tyres as RS. Everyone else's replay will show RM

I take it "180 at the end of pits and keep to pit wall" means going in reverse past the start grid for a quick return to pits to swap tyres, again. Does it still work if you do a full lap anyway?
PS: could create interesting situations if done at Spa ...

    morning
Have we any further thoughts on quali tyres and what we start on?
Could we just quali on what you want, then everyone drops out and then we all line up on desired race start tyres in the correct order.

    ie.
    1 qualify on quali tyre
2 when done park side of track
3 once quali completed take note on positions, then ALL dropout
4 put whichever tyre you want on car
5 line up in quali order and start race

Everyone must drop out or wrong person will start at front

    thought this was already covered.
Qualify on whichever of the 2 compounds you like (I would assume softs are always better for qualifying)
If anyone wants to start the race on mediums, all drivers leave track, choose their tyre to start on and enter track
lineup in qualifying order and start race

i didn't reply because I'm qualifying and starting on softs. if there is a need to do something other than finishning qually and wait for race to start then I will read whatever instructions are put up about that.
does the difference between a ten minute qually window and ten minutes to get onto your last lap from whenever you start your outlap have any bearing on how the 'leave track and wait for lineup' system works?
it will be a bit like coitus interuptus if we are required to stuff about between qually and race start...for me anyway.
i think it should be up to the individual to make sure they are ready for race start 12minutes from when qually started

    My comment on this is.
Moon runs a no mike room as it works well. If every one is not clued Properly on what is happening before the race and we end up in a ten minute message war. . Qualify and race without loosing mojo is important,.

moon would only need to tell people to remember their qually position and exit/enter track and lineup
