Definitely, and you don't need ear plugs. My matewent to Singapore 2 yrs ago and wore plugs and still had a headache and partial deafness for 3 days so he's happy.

It would sound weak on the tele but when you're here it works fine.

Still not a big fan of the growl, but the turbo whistle is pretty cool...

Kevin magnussens performance was nuts for a rookie.

No question Redbull has the best chassis, the only way there going to be able to take on Mercedes though is if the FIA allow Renault to tweak the engine.

I think he benefited from the rule changes, everyone was in the same boat in terms of experience, but still a mega drive from the kid.

Well yeah, previous experience goes out the window, there might be a shuffle in the established order of who is considered the top drivers too.

Ricciardo looks set to be disqualified due to a fuel flow breach.
    Heartbroken :(

I can't believe Ricciardo is falling victim to the FIA's incompetency. There's going to be a riot in Melbourne and Perth today...

The sensor was replaced but the second one was also out of whack so RB were instructed to go back to the original and use a given offset value BEFORE the race. They didn't. They were notified DURING the race to adjust their fuel flow limit and they didn't. RB used a non-FIA approved fuel sensor to monitor flow rates. Unfair for Ricciardo though.

Even so, it proves the flow meters being used were inconsistent and had to be altered by an offset. I'd say RBR has a fair argument even though they didn't follow instruction from the FIA. If Ricciardo's car had been 'consistently' exceeding 100kg/hr, he'd have run out of fuel or been forced to save as the race was over 90 mins long. Team radio told us that he was fine on fuel and was able to push.

Leeboy thats not how it works, the idea of the rule is to stop people going full speed when they are good on fuel and cap them to a limited power range.

Yes the rule is that retarted.

Yeah, but if the car was using more than the rules allow, surely it would've had an impact on fuel usage?
More fuel flow means more fuel used...I know how the rule works and why it's there, but the argument doesn't make sense if he makes it to the end of the race with fuel to spare yet he was 'consistently' using a higher flow than is allowed.

Its the fuel flow rate at the given moment not an average thats why it was easy to breach and make the finish, majority of the time they where well under so there was a surplus of fuel.

Each car should have engine fuel flow measures in place to insure it stays within the whole time.

The reason for this rule is to make cars show there true speed, not just under drive for moat of tye race saving fuel then take off like a bullet at the end.

In other words its too make sure the causal fan doesn't see how much of a farce this fuel consumption racing is.
