Remember guys, CAGME is also on a controller, so you may need to play around with his recommended settings a bit to find something suitable for a wheel (I'm not sure how much they will differ). Once you find something, let us know
Will have a room open tonight from approx. 8pm qld time ...msg me if you want an invite to talk tuning. Will have races set at 8 laps so you have a chance to settle into a rhythm. Practice set to 5 mins so you can make changes you wish to test and then repeat...
No worries mate, sorry I haven't put everything up , with the V8 Supercar , having my kids over and getting ready for the Bathurst 12 hour, I've been flat out.
Ok guys here it is my Tune which im handing out everything else stays stock, adjust diff setting to your liking and or make changes to suit your style or track. hope you find time with it feel free to post any of your changes he for suggestions. @Giant slayer will be also making a compressed version of this as like season 1
http://projectcarssetups.eu/#/viewsetup/398581575 Im using this setup but not the tyre settings . Snetterton 300 , 1:54.2
Well gent's I've been trying a few suggested setup's and finding that a standard tune seems to go the distance a lot better . I have nothing to put up yet , how ever try mucking around with tire pressure's . my front left is 163 bar at the moment and I'm still playing with it . Keep an eye on front left tire temp through the last long right hander , if you can keep it under 112 c , you'll get better tire wear . Test with full fuel , then test with half , that way you can setup a good pit strategy . I'll post more when I'm happy with my setting's .
Here are some tire pressures , I got these with the help of a few guys. I've put mine up a bit so it personal preference in whitch way you go . FL 175 FR 158 RL149 RR 148 You should be able to get through with out a pit stop , how ever have one ready just in case . My tune is standard except for brake duct's and radiator witch are both closed . Good luck tonight gent's.
Just wondering about some simple fixes to the Mercedes *riding over bumps, looking for stability due to all the dampers and stuff like that I've tried to ignore making changes but anyway time to help the bump surfing now lol, was afraid of making the spring rates softer then throwing everything else out of whack Cheers guys
Will get on during the week and have a play with that stuff , need to pick up some time to catch the fast guys .
Best advice to all is to make the car safer rather than faster. The tune I was using last night was a little slower than stock over a given lap, but faster over the race distance as I was able to put in solid consistent and safe laps. If the car feels good you have the confidence to push out a few quick laps if need be to break loose of the pack.
