Switch your front tyre pressures around, maybe drop your spring rate as well. Looks quite high. Try and aim for your tyre temps to be front and rear 100 on the left and 92 on right
Holy Smoley @zuluwoffle those tyre pressure are heaps higher than what I'm running. I'll check tonight but from memory I'm running around 1.31-.33 rear and 1.5x's in the fronts. Rears stay under 100 degrees and front left gets up around 110. I'm not sure but maybe a faster steering angle increases your tyre wear, something like 9.6:1 will fry your tyres compared to a 13.6:1. Does anyone know how much camber and caster angle effect tyre wear / pressures / temperature?
I've been using a heck of front camber finding it stabilises the front more compared to no camber and the car sliding around Wear seems better but might be different for others
Thanks guys for the responses so far. My tyre temps for front right and the rears are sticking around the early to mid 90s on that setup, it's just the front left that is killing me. Wear on the tyres as well has been fine as well except that front left obviously. Hopefully my little fella goes to bed early tonight so I can jump on before the missus comes home and try a few of the suggestions out.
I was down to 50% tyre wear on WGS by lap 26 Zulu, I have a feeling that this is a tyre burner of a track.
Hey vh, that worked a treat mate. Dropped springs down to 110 and front tyres to 1.65 and was keeping the front left around 105. Might even try going down to 100 on the front springs and see if that drops it a little more.
Here's mine from a 40 lap test we did tonight , its good for a 1:12.9 during the race , and a 12.7 in quallie . had to stop , and was able to chase down Stu who was behind me before pit stop . I would have done better , but I had a spin on the 3rd lap .
The good thing with that tune , I could push all the way . Gary let me by (never do that again Gary , you should of made me work for it , but thanks all the same) , and Stu put up an epic fight , it was some Brilliant racing . we still have a few nights to sort out setting's and on this track a consistent lap time is paramount , I was doing low 13's and high 12's till lap 20 and decided to pit next lap . Make sure the car feels nice , and easy to catch if need be .
Love you @TheJuzzy Thx for posting the setup, I'm going to give ur ride height, bump stop, and swaybar settings a go as they are pretty different to mine so far.
It's pretty much a default tune Spidey , with a tweak here and there, using your tyre pressure's but plus 7 clicks higher.
good job lads..... i managed to get through 40 laps last night without a pit and still had about 50% on my front left.....car felt terrible though as i fiddled with the gear box (i said it felt like a fully loaded water truck) and the rear was still a bit off......i got booted from the network late and ran a few laps with a couple of adjustments and it felt better but will test it again tonight.....
No stopper the math says I'll be down to 20% front left Haven't really checked the length of a stop but I'm assuming that's shooting yourself in the foot?
