Congratulations ssman another well deserved win. To call your season impressive would be a massive understatement! If you weren't crushing my soul I would be in awe. Ended up doing a 3 stopper to everyone's one lol. Had know idea on straergy. Almost ran out of fuel 3 times and had to roll the last few laps home lol.Still I raced like crap! Bad rhythm bad consntration. Had to hang a leek really bad about 10mins in lol. You know when your on a really long car ride and you need to go really bad lol! That's what it felt like lol. Mate my screen went black and lost sound for 3 or 4 seconds then it all came back and I was off the track.
Looks like ssman has it all but wrapped up. But I'm not going to die wondering. I will be giving it my all still for the rest of this season
That's what I like to hear, I'll want to push hard at monaco, but all it takes is getting too close to the wall once and you can spin and put yourself well out. Bmw had some really good pace the other night, he'll be back don't worry
Few practice starts with half a dozen people or so. First corner is going to be a mess on sunday. May aswell start protesting now. Lol. Just one big funnel.
DRIVER BRIEFING R6 - Cote D'Azur PIT EXIT / ENTRY : Pit entry is fine, pretty straight forward. Exit, all drivers will have to be mindful of re-entry to the raceline, and cars approaching T1 at race speed. (Pit exit is on the main straight still and not after T1 like in the map) TRACK LIMITS : There is nowhere here to cut and gain an advantage. Please use the standard ROOZ rules, 2 wheels must be on the ripple strip or white lines at all times. DRIVING STANDARDS : Tough track to pass on. Be patient and remember it's better to give up a spot and continue the fight, then make contact defending, have it all turn pear shaped, and have to fight your way back after avoidable contact. A reminder that the hit boxes for some of the apex armco sticks out. If you do get stuck, try to ghost until the track is clear CONTACT : If you push someone offline for your advantage, you will be expected to redress, and give the position back. Again, use your heads and give room where needed............Don't use other cars as a brake ! If you are mid /back of the pack, remember to brake earlier to avoid contact. BLUE FLAGS : A reminder that if you are about to be lapped, its is good racing etiquette to move to the side where possible to let the leaders through. PROTESTS : As always, if you feel you have reason to protest, save your replay, and then contact the room captains and the mod team, Myself or emmo46.....DO NOT blow up in the chat room, or on the forum. RAGE QUITTING : A reminder that if you rage quit the room, you will receive 0 points, not be able to use it as your drop round and it wont count as a round of your 4 needed to be eligible for the PAGNIAN prize. If you have to stop, park up off the racing line and ghost, and let the race run down without leaving so it doesn't glitch the other drivers. SWERVING : A reminder that swerving to try to stop another driver gaining the draft is NOT permitted. You may change your line once, and that's it. Anything i have missed let me know
qually in the bottom half which I was expecting and happy with. Get a good start, then cars concentina on the inside of T1 and I am the one that gets stuck to the inside wall. Others have issues later and I am having a few battles. Go to pass someone at Nouvelle when they hit the wall and they reverse into me and then pass me as I can't take the chicane fast on an extremely tight line. Without redress and unable to pass, frustration got the better of me so I parked up. Let's see how the race progresses
Thanks Russell, don't think I'm anywhere as good as Warrior but it was a great battle in the first half of that race, great close racing for sure. Well done tonight everyone, very hard track to race fast and hard on. Qually: Got a great lap in early but couldn't find that sub 28 pace that I'd had during the week, Was on a flyer about 3 tenths up until I fluffed the bus stop and ruined it. Race: Got a great start and led into T1 but a poor run through Casino meant @Russell got a good pass on me. Spent the next few laps trying to find my grove and then picked my lap to push and put the pressure on, Russell did well and I lost out on the last corner to drop me a second or 2 back. Eventually caught back up and next time I lined up the pressure lap, got the run out of Nouvelle chicane and got a run through Tabac due to a wide run from Russ. From then on it was about trying to put some distance between us and worked out well, didn't stop and drove it clean to the finish.
Div 1 looked like it was a tight battle up the front, probably cost you guys some time no doubt. Definitely happy though with the result regardless
Boy that was the one that got away...Stellar driving @ssman244 I would never have caught you! Last minute decision for me to race tonight however I love this place so my complete lack of practice didn't really show. P6 in quali was halfway decent but my start was good enough to put me into 4th before a mini scrap left me in 5th trying to play keep up with Benny and Bimmer. I stupidly pitted and there was race done. Got caught up in stupid accidents of other people before Russel was then taken out of contention by Grassies. Really ynlucky bud. Caught up to Blacko and had a red hot go at him, nabbed him with a slick maneuver at Casino square before he punted me off at Mirabeau. Was more than happy to give him a little love tap to get me by on the last lap however a great battle mate. Im really looking forward to next sunday now. See you all there!!
Kept seeing the leader board twitching between you and @LITTLEBLACKO942 in those last few laps and sounds like it was great racing, can't wait to watch that one on the replay tomorrow!
Firstly congrats to @ssman244. Also @Russell, championship is wrapped up for you guys. Tight battle all aeason. Quali. Could not get a lap in to save myself. Just couldnt find space. Luckily i crossed the line to start a one lap dash with about 9 mins 45 on the clock. Happy with a 28.6 under pressure. Race. @BMWF30328 was always gonna get me into turn one. First half of the race was nose to tail being faster in different sectors was cool. @Viperzed keeping us company. Then the pit stops. I was ready to settle for where i was. Bmw pits, viper pits. Pressure off and cruise to the finish. Coming down out of tunnel and russel is stationary. In he goes to the pits. Cool. Pit ssman pit. But nope. Cruising round about 10 seconds behind for the next 10 or so. Then come up on @emmo46 and @Nigel Burley battling it out. Held back a bit cause didnt want to cause them to have to slow for blue flag. Gunnerz goes for it and doesnt pay off, i slipped on pass. Let him back to have another crack at emmo. Dropped back again and potted home to a best result for div 2.
