He basically tried to make the apex even though I was along side, balking my car and pushing me over far enough that he had the inside for the chicane exit.

Hmmmm, contact doesn't seem that bad and your left wheels are still on track easily, not even on ripples. I did turn in yes but it was to make the corner now that I had committed to the wide line. The fact that we both made it through unscathed however was commendable by both of us If I do say so.

Ok, so as long as I don't get knocked off the track, it is ok to gain track position as a result of contact? I just want to clarify this with the rule makers just so that I know how I should handle future on track engagements. Honestly, if you had made the pass without contact, I would have nothing to say, but at it stands I say there is no way you completed that overtake without the contact.

Well judging from Viper's POV alone the only thing you should be complaining about is the stupid rainbow filter and Sanic music.

I wouldn't have even mentioned it if it had not been in his video with mario cart effects. But since it is, I felt I needed say something as I felt that was a move would be fine on mario cart, not in a serious F1 2016 league race.
Someone said something the other day about knowing how to give racing room to each-other, if you're telling me this falls into that category then I must be completely lost.
In my book you can't make that move in F1 and consider it successful unless you get it done without any contact.
I guess if the elbows must come out for the remainder of the season, then so be it.

Sorry I did force it through a bit mate, My strategy required a few risky overtakes and in the heat of the moment with the drive I had off that corner...I guess I felt it was on there and while I did get it done there was the slightest of touches. I guess you'll have to tell Max Verstappen about an overtake without contact then hey!

I guess overtakes where there's a slight touch are forbidden then. I see nothing wrong with the move at all, the feather tap produced nothing.

I have to say, if viper pulled that on me, i wouldve crashed due to clapping.
Sorry benny, but i genuinely feel that it was actually well done. I dont see either car take a decent bump from either pov. I would call that an excellent move, if anything.

Well, at least now I know what this league considers accepted race-craft, I will adjust my approach accordingly. Forcing my way passed someone is acceptable (if I'd known this last night I probably would have finished a lot higher).
