Unbelievable pace up front lads. Well done seeeth and podium. Was pretty chuffed with a PB in qual, only .6 off pole so I knew it would be a hard night chasing the GTRs starting 8th. Had an interesting start when a few guys got tangled up, and with the rain I wasn't game to try the 2 stop in case I had to stop for wets, so pitted from 5th on lap 33 and came out dead last only to be mapped by Seth a few laps later. Ran a 50:8 but saw that most of the guys were running low 50s. Hopefully have a better showing next week at spa.
Well on the upside, looks like I won't have to worry about any success penalties! Got home at 8pm Sunday night after 3hrs on the road, turned on the PS3 & realised carmats were still at the carwash. D'oh! Cue Mercy dash back to grab'em, jumped into the cockpit to join the end of Q1, my first laps at Tsukuba in the Z. Spent the first half of the race fine-tuning my line/mastering the Z, second half trying to stay awake &focused. Suspect that was the torque-laden Z's chance to shine, hence the fastest laps, admittedly aided by 2-stopping. Oh well.
I really think the penalties will hurt a lot here.... What happens for the final round? Are all penalties off?
Well that was a race to forget. Managed 4th in the first quaily run and 5th the second which I was surprised considering my penalty. Got hustled at the start and fell back to 6th, but then Seeth dsc so then I was in a good battle with Bryan which lasted for 6 or 7 laps until I had a little spin and really the race just did not get any better. Well done to S5vad for the win and the rest. Looks like both Bryan and I will be on equal points coming into the last round with S5aved only a few points behind!
Bad luck lads, I was nowhere then got dsc from 8th on lap 4. Am hoping spa is a little kinder, I think sector 1 will be fine, put a fast bend in front of the supra though and it vomits onto its own tires !!! Aaahhhhh, the joys !!

Not really! I was looking forward to the battle, but also didn't want to battle too much as I'd noticed Russel was catching us! Had a fairly clean race, went a touch over the half way point before stopping as wanted to make sure I had lots of grip for defending the 2 stoppers. Caught the 2 stoppers around the 35min mark, but was really in tyre saving mode waiting for them to pit. But Byran was catching, so decided to close up. Russel wasn't making it easy to pass, so had to wait it out. With 10mins to go I thought I might run out of fuel, so started short shifting which threw my rythm off a little and I started missing my apexs (something I need to work on!). Worked out with 3 laps to go I had enough gap to stop before the line to ensure I didn't have to do another lap (My pleasure Nat!). On to Spa! I always enjoy racing there.
